In my experience, you can still get your TOR and diploma from USC anytime, depende sa purpose.

If you use your transcript for further studies, usually the exchange is done school to school (transfer of credentials). But if you use your transcript for employment, you can get it anytime.

I have finished my masters also from a different University (diff. country). The transfer of credentials are done usually school to school - I asked the registrar to mail/post the transcripts to another school here. The universities here don't accept a copy of your credentials, they must be mailed from the university where you finished your bachelors degree.

There was a time when I lost the original copy of my TOR (water damage), I have to get an original one from USC, so when I had the chance when I was back in Cebu, I was able to get a fresh copy of my TOR, even though my school records were still from the 1990's. And this was after I graduated from my masters degree.

I graduated BSBA sa USC last March 2006. 3 months after I enrolled sa CIT-U for another course and I submitted a copy of my TOR from USC to CIT-U. 4 years later 2010 sayang lang cos wala nako na tiwas ang sa CIT-U cos "nagrebelde" ko that time. Nangluod ko sa profs sa CIT-U. So wala jd nako nakuha ako TOR and Diploma for my 2nd course.

    My question are...

1.Can I still go to USC and get another copy of my TOR sa ako 1st course?
Yes of course. USC will still have the records. I was able to get a copy of mine, even though I graduated more than 20 years ago.

Naturally, CIT-U will only have the records of you time in their school. The school records of your first course is still being kept by USC.

    Thank you!
If you have finished all the requirements of the course, naturally you can expect to get the TOR and diploma sa CIT-U. Again ang imong TOR/school records will only reflect up the time you stayed in CIT-U. You can get your TOR from CIT-U anytime, that is if you have settled all liabilities with them.

    3. Bisan wapa ka nakahuman sa second course, pwede raka mangayo ug transcript sa CIT-U.
    1. so pwede ra nako kuhaon ang ako TOR from USC sa CIT-U (which is my 2nd school) maski wala pa nako ma finish ako course sa CIT-U?

    2. If ganahan ka ug certification or printed TOR gikan sa USC... adto sa USC registrar dad.a imong orig. transcript ug diploma. I think pwede na.. try lang.

Your TOR submitted to CIT-U is an original copy, complete with documentary stamp and seal. Your academic records in USC is kept and archived digitally via mainframe/backups. You can get an original copy again if you wish, USC will just re-print it again from the archives, stamped, sealed and signed with whoever is the sitting registrar. USC will keep these records for as long as possible, they'll keep it so that you can get documentary proof that you have graduated from the institution.

Know that even Rizal's academic records sometime in the late 1800's are still being kept in UST and Ateneo's archives. That is even after Rizal went to study abroad.

    Question lang...

Sa una nangayo ko ug CAV sa USC... Dili sila mohatag ug CAV nako not unless I bring and present to them my original diploma and TOR copy.

If naka store na ang records nako sa USC, how come dili nalang sila mag reprint sa ako TOR... or refer nalang sa ilang records / archive?

True, graduate gud ko sa USC... redundant na nga mangayo sa original documents ang registrar nako.. where in fact sila mismo naay digital copy nako. hehehe...

When I asked for a copy of my TOR and diploma last Feb., I also lost my original TOR and diploma due to water damage. Since I will use it for employment purposes, and at that time I didn't have it with me, I was asked to fill up an affidavit of loss. I have the it signed and notarized. Paid the necessary fees, and I was able to get a fresh copy after a few hours.

Take note on the policies section:

    USC – University Registrar
