Lisod naman ni daan sa una pa lang bradier. Immigrants from the Ph going to the US goes through hell before getting a ViSA.

LOL. I find that really amusing. Not really an average Americans having that sentiment, it's more from the lower-class Caucasian demographics (type of people you see at a Trump rally). They mostly interact with the same economic background that's why they are not as diverse and ignorant compared to let's say educated people. The best employment they can get are non-unionized factory/general labour jobs, and when immigrants enter the market, they get beat up because immigrants are willing to do more work and more hours without hesitation. When layoff season starts, guess who are escorted out of the door?

If you're coming to the US and hit a job market that requires a degree, you less likely deal with these sentiments because people in it are already exposed to diversity. Finance, medical, business, engineering, and etc. are among those market. Factory jobs, restaurant in a small-city/town, construction, you better prepare dealing with anti-immigrants sentiment.
