    Bumpin'.

Anyone with an operating vegetable farm?

I will be pruning the first cycle of the pulps and keep on it until its 3rd cycle. I only have 5 sweet pepper plants and 2 Apollo tomatoes. Hope I can get at least 1.5kg on each pepper plant and 2.5kg on each tomato plant.

1stQ 2017 pa ko mag full farming.

Speaking of bananas... just sharing this...

Naka-istorya ko last week og farmer from South Cotabato.

I though banana is pretty good.
Pero ingon siya nako nga the cost of farming bananas is about P200k per hectare.
You'll end up spending more on pesticide & fertilizers to make it to better grading.
And you'd wait pa for how many months to make the harvest.

So nag-kapayas nalang siya. This one daw is at P40k per hectare ang cost kay lesser to maintain.
Nya ila pod gi-intercrop with their existing coconut trees.
For those they've planted not under the coconuts, ila gi-inter-crop with vegies.

Their buyer for the papayas (& bananas previously) by the way is Dole.

Hinoon pod, if bananas for tungdan og saba ang imo target, ok ra man pod guro.
It's best to try it out man jud, tweak and find out what's best.

Ma'am pwede makita ang imong kaang2x? need some inspirations to do kaang2x pud

It's the same with mangoes as far as experts told me. Dugay nako naka matngon aning fruit trees specially kaning mga royal fruits daw if imong i-farm. The thing is that, fruit trees depend a lot on natural pesticides and natural compost if they are free in the wild. Actually, mas practical and applicable ang advise sa mga botanist and those who study pomology and horticulture compared to some entrepreneurs that are also paying experts to maintain their farms. My two cents.

    True! Very true Boss.

But having a big farm has it's advantages pod jud oi. You can always use it smartly.
    Dapat naa jud long-term, mid-term, short-term and very short-term plants/produce sa farm.
It really helps to roll things up.

Anyway, i'd say thumb's up to the farmers in this thread
