i think during arroyo's time there was already a huge rail project funded by china. it was hounded with corruption. i think japan would be the best to assist on this project. i like the way japan did with SRP and the Marecelo Fernan Bridge. hope duterte will also consider buy weapons from japan. heheheh.

Sa tinuod lang ning kang digong nga mga moves, mao ning mga moves sa mga veterano nga abogado. The question now is what is his end game?

Ang ako ra gyud makita nga end game is being free from dependence of other countries, and stand or our own.

Just like Singapore, a neutral state but very much flourishing economically, walay kontra.

Just saying, Japan has been helping us Pinoys, just not much fanfare like when US does something.

I think, correct me if Im wrong, but a Japanese university/company has school programs with USJ-R Engg. Dept. Right?

Yes, but by his overt acts he seems to be leaning more on a Russia and China partnership. And China is really known to bully its smaller allies. I'm not saying dili mu bully ang US, mas notorious lang jud ang China ana. Also, by partnering with the two nations we are effectively cutting ties with Japan.

not really leaning. sa article he just said "consider". but it doesn't mean that he will favor china over any other bidders. in the article he will send the generals over there to see if the weapons are good or not. its not like mupalit dayon gikan china. he said "consider". as usual with any government procurement, a bidding process will be there. government will invite bidders. so he might consider inviting bidders from china and russia. thats it.
