If I was not mistaken, we were bought from the spaniards. And even if they have liberated us, they have monopolized our resources. For me, PDUT is seen as an antagonist but based sa actions nya, he seems to just be righting the wrongs done to our country. Ganahan sya that we show sovernity and not become the US lapdogs that we usually are. I do admit alarming ang unsay mahitabo if US wala na sa pinas. But I'm just trying to be optimistic and thinking na maybe what is happening is that PDut is focused on curing the country which the US may have been one of the catalyst of its corruption. I say that because walay major reaction from UN or the US when it came to the massacres in Mindanao, the SAF 44, Hongkong Bus Hostage incident and many more atrocities against our own innocent people.

Checked through reference to the Treay of Paris which states "Spain cedes to the United States the archipelago known as the Philippine Islands, and comprehending the islands lying within the following line: [... geographic description elided ...]. The United States will pay to Spain the sum of twenty million dollars ($20,000,000) within three months after the exchange of the ratifications of the present treaty." (quote taken from wikipedia kay much more summarized.)

i don't really see that they freed us from spain.the americans never did liberate us. they colonized us after spain.i think you were right, we were sold.its the same thing spain did before. same thing japan did. they colonized us. the americans did help us against japanese mainly because they were allied with hitler that time.

Mas sosy man gud paminawon sa uban ang f9ck, shey1t, bia1tch, son of bgun kaysa tagalog nga p8ta. Lol

Mao na big deal kaayo nila. Pero that's not a big deal man ta jud. Some people are just lazy to use their brain cells (remember neuroscience says we lose about 7000 a day so we have to make the most of it) to think.

Besides Obama has been known to curse media as well. Mas professional lang ang media sa US because they don't released it to the public.

But I think this is good because there is youtube and other video social media sites. These reporters will slowly lose their credibility and its a shakedown to the integrity of PH media.

In a way, I would like the a different camera/angle to be trained to the reporters who asks questions so we can ascertain who are they are. Even say their name first before asking questions.

Just like that Briton reporter who stood up for DU30 to acknowledge him. That was a sign of respect to the president. He also thanked the pres after DU30 answered his inquiry.

I do believe that Pdut is steering us to be like Singapore. A neutral-state who does not favor any country. If you want to start or invest in the country, then do so. However, if you are coming here to be allies to win wars, go away.

Based pa lang daan sa iyang statements nga "I don't need F-16s, we are not going to fight countries" and opted to buy propeller planes which by the way is much cheaper. He is gearing to buy cheaper planes that are fit for purpose, on just fighting what is inside the country.

After having peace all-throughout the country, then we can start to do business with anybody. Chinese, Russia, US, Or any country who wishes to do trade, and absolutely no War. We have enough of that already.

Bro, mo defer lang ko gamay sa when you sa "the US forces helped us against Spain and the Japanese".
I do believe nga with the amount of money spent on mobilizing troops at the cost of their taxpayers' money. They would also expect something in return.

Strategic geological location - magbutang ug air bases, Clark Air base and etc.
Trade route, ni alma ra ni ang US karon kay naa silay makuha anang trade route nga gi occupy na sa China karon.
If I remember it correctly in the billions ang mo agi diha.

So, with all this I do believe kaning ilang gitawag ug alliances it is still mutual benefit. Lisod lang ang mutual benefit kay kita permi ang louy, in exchange for pseudo security sa atong sovereignty.

It all boils down on who gets something and how much.
