usik2x rana sa krwata ug oras ang ROTC. marching ra most of time buhaton

ROTC enrollees know what they are up to; they are there to march and that's it. Emergency training and Safety procurement na lang unta ang itudlo sa ROTC at least, ma puslan pa sa ERUF & Red Cross.

yep... agree, modernize the topics/subjects, highlighting perhaps skills necessary for disaster assistance, basic first aid & rescue, basic personal survival (i.e. self defense martial arts, arnis, boxing, etc.) where becoming an officer is based on the merits gathered during the first quarter going through all sorts of physical, mental & psychological evaluation - not just the mandatory tests. Based on the data gathered from the first quarter will be the focal point of advancement for the 2nd quarter. Third quarter will solely focus on strengthening and developing further the data gathered starting on the 2nd quarter. 4th quarter will see to the student his role in society at large applying the learned skills. Certainly any further than 4 quarters, will be a consideration for the military or armed service. Just a cent to share my thoughts on the matter.

... @coolboss any form of monetization in whatever form, character or substance should be deem punishable by law & ground enough for graft & corruption. It must be stipulated clearly by law on the onset what items will be financially shouldered by the cadet (perhaps none at all), everything else will be paid for by the Natl government, in terms of training collaterals, trainer fee for non-gov trainers, insurance, ID, uniforms, manuals & other items deemed necessary for the completion & ensuring skill expertise in the chosen field. The quality of the intended result of the ROTC program is equally largely dependent of its given patriotic value otherwise such program would just be another easy venue for corruption, worse, encouragement of malicious activities resulting to damage or loss of property or life itself.

Yes I agree totally. But the reality in the past was that many could evade ROTC by bringing some of the military personnel in charge of running the program. The bribes were not always necessarily cash. They came in many forms. Anyway, just saying that I hope it can be avoided in the future.

I am for the revival of ROTC but a big no to corruption and inefficient training methods.

Ang dapat estriktoon aning ROTC program kay ang mga AFP Commandants and Consultants... Sila ang dapat dukdokon, hand in hand with CHED. Para ma properly utilize and productive ang trainings.

Kung ang issue sa mga lalaki kay estrikto, kapoy, etc... Then ngano manulod man ug Fraternities pero e drop ang ROTC? Parehas raman kapoy ang process ana, much worse pa gani ang Fraternities...

My stand is still voluntary ROTC. Not mandatory.
