For all the faults I see in Mayor Tommy Osmeña, I can never fault him for being a coward. Isog atong Mayor karon. In fact, basin sobra ra pud ka isog because he seems hell bent on taking on President Duterte, who is only the most popular president in our history, according to the most recent SWS survey.

I know that most Istoryans are supporters of Tommy Osmeña, as well as President Duterte, 2 very stubborn and bullheaded people. Now, mao ni ang akong mga pangutana.

In a conflict or disagreement between Duterte and Osmeña, whose side would you take?

Do you support Osmeña in his pulling out his support from the newly assigned local police officers?

Do you support Osmeña in his stance to not support Mega Cebu?

Etc, etc, etc.

Bato.

Pero for sure, di ni tubagon ni Gen. Bato, in the meantime. kay in the process of getting more evidences pa man. unya they are digging deeper. once naa igsakto nga nga evidences, diha pede na mopagawas og ngalan. not on the mouth of Gen. Bato, but to our President. kay ang Presidente naa immunity.

I understand the Mayor's agony, but he just goes beyond the line.

I will answer this question with another question. If we support for Mega Cebu, what benefits will it contribute to the people of CEBU?

Sa ako lang tan-aw noh, ambot kung Mega Cebu ba ang answer but one very important thing we need is urban planning for the whole of Mega or Metro Cebu but not just for Cebu City. Cebu City cannot solve its problems alone. Apil jud at the very least from Liloan to Carcar plus Lapulapu/Mactan. So maybe needed ang Mega Cebu unless there is another group that is doing urban planning for the whole area. Without a better option, then Mega Cebu would be the only viable alternative because it includes all the Mayors of the aforementioned LGUs.

That is why I don't understand why Tomas wants Cebu City out of Mega Cebu. I don't buy his reason that it is because Mega Cebu has no legal personality. I think that is being worked on already in congress. If Tomas thinks he can solve some of Cebu City's problems such as traffic, garbage and flooding, by himself without help and coordination of the neighboring LGUs, then Tomas is not as smart as I thought he was.
