Wala ko nibasa sa tibook blog kay grabe kataas pero tinood man sad ang gbutang didto.
I've been working sa BPO for almost 7 years na, I've noticed jud nga ang uban once maka start na kay mag usab ang lifestyle
Party here, party there... Tinood jud daghan social climber nga taga BPO ug hilas.. Pero depende rajud na nimo ug mag.usab ka ug unsa nga klase sa environment naa sud sa inyung office.. Ako as much as possible simpleng tao lang jud ko.. Wala mauso ang luxury nako kay I always keep in mind where I came from. Be Simple and Optimistic lang... not too much english.. Mas preferred nako mag bisaya inside and outside sa office... Pasensya sa MMK nako.. Share lang ko gamay

whats with starbucks anyway? why starbucks and not just plain white mug? why do they have to brandish it? (i still see people do this sa IT park everytime i go there, once a week) i personally seen this while working in BPO for quite sometime (short stint as agent then developer)

there is no correct definition of career, but in standards... it is a path of profession that requires specialize training. working for more than 10 years or more on the same company does not mean its already a career...

however i sense a defensive stance on your post, imoha sad na, not cant blame you saying that... dapat siguro para mawala ang stereotype ninyo kamo na mismo mo badlong sa ka-agent ninyo...

I started working in BPO when the industry just started diri sa cebu... when IT park is just the village, when ayala center is the only bldh in cebu business park, when ang pamilite tag Php 2.50 pa//

my brother is a supervisor in one of the BPO, my wife works in a BPO... and my small online busines is a BPO...

<joke type="dala-tinuod">Developer: Ang isang buwang sweldo mo, isang araw na raket ko</joke>
Not defensive, sulti ra ko sa ako opinion, dli sad ko mu badlong kay dli man ko bothered ana.. ningkamot ra ko ug ako dri. as long as wala ko naka tamak ug lain tao ug wala ko tamaki then all is good... imo nlng kaha wife ug igsoon badlonga kay BPO man diay na sila.. but i'm pretty sure para nimo silang duha dli hilas, dili mu look down ug dili mga social climber.. coz cyempre parente gud nimo sila.. but all the other people sa bpo, u feel differently about... and joke type nimo? aw dili rasad hilason, abi nako mag lagot ka sa mga hambogero kay feeling taas ug pag tan-aw sa ila kaugalingon based on how they feel they earn? lisud sa kalibutan karon.. maglagot ta ug hambugero kay ganahan ta kita ray hambugero.. towawawaw...

It's an immature rant that doesn't deserve the attention it's getting. You can agree with some of the stuff s/he is saying, but to go as far as hate an industry that helped so many others is just... heh.

It's all about how you look at things I guess.. Call Center as a dead end career? Perhaps... but I guess it's how you handle yourself that matters. I've used my cc experience to get into an ESL job and a QA post for a UK based start-up company. Is my career a dead end if I get to save enough money to invest in stocks or open up a business? Yeah? No?

with all due respect, just to clarify, call center agent is not a career. it's a job. probably no one goes through all those years of education to get a degree & hopes to be come a call center agent? A career is a pursuit of lifelong ambition vs a job is done in exchange for money. IS YOUR CAREER dead? NO. because as of now you have a job (helps your pursuit) that will eventually lead you to a business career.
