Angry Buyout Warranty - Huawei or any phone/gadgets

I bought a phone 2 years ago bundled with SmartCommunications.

Right now, the battery is dead and wont charge. i cant find any battery replacements anywhere (sm seaside/parkmall/ayala/smcebu/countrymall/gaisano lapulapu/gaisano opon).

so i went to Huawei Service Center Cebu, after checking my phone's IME# they said that the phone is under "BuyOut" Warranty.
they refuse to service my phone or sell my a replacement battery.

so i contacted Huawei service center
"Regarding your enquiry, the buy out warranty means that the device will be cover under the company itself. The warranty will not be cover by Huawei."

Smart - "Beyond the warranty period

If your unit has manufacturing defects and is already beyond the 7-day replacement warranty, you may visit the handset manufacturer’s authorized service center for repair.".

WTF... I will never buy "Huawei" ayu phone ever again. Nor will i buy phone bundled or sold under Smart/Globe/Sun ever again.

as of now, i have a perfectly good phone with a dead battery. Now you know unsa nang BuyOut warranty.

huawei ayu kaayu. im buying a new phone nga naay warranty.

    useless man ng "buyout" warranty.
Smart wont fix my phone because it's out of warranty
Huawei wont fix my phone because they dont support buyout warranty.

if nipalit ka aning gadgets, labay na nimo if maguba since wala na may spare parts makuha.

wala man ta kabalo ani even if you readthe terms and agreement. wa man sad tay quever basta palit lang ta gadget/phones on any company. who knows if nipalit ta sa Junrex it's also considered "Buyout" warranty. hell, what if all phones bought outside huawei official distributor are "Buyout" warranty.

you see it is requried by the consumer act that all needed information including the warranty is stipulated sa terms and agreement, so ang reason nimo nga wala ta kabalo, is not a valid reason all, you basicly didn't read the terms, and that is your fault if you feel you are cheated on what you buy... kung abogado imo pangutan-on kasab-an paka nga wala nimo basaha ug tarong... unless you can proved it that it is not stipulated sa terms and agreement, then you can actually file a legal complaint sa DTI...

until you have those exact evidence, then you are just one bitter customer who is too lazy to read the contract...

im not against you, what im against is people spreading misinformation!

I have some issue with Samsung, I got a dying battery but the unit is still within a year so I opted for a replacement.
Then they reset the phone I told them its not a software but a the battery itself but they insisted that they have to reset the phone to replace the battery, so I agreed to reset the phone now it seems to work ok but after 1 day the battery issue recurred again, proving me right about the issue not software but hardware(battery).
My issue is that why do they indiscriminately need to reset the phone software, wiping all pictures and personal files without any sort of diagnostics. In the end they don't need to do this to fix the issue. Sayang pud kaau ang mga personal and sentimental pics.
I think this is kind of a deterrent for customer who wants to replace a bad battery within warranty for them to save money. But they wont save their customer. Its Really a bad customer service experience.

Just sharing experience about aning buyout warranty although this was with a Samsung printer. (na post na ni nko nga experience here in istorya years ago) .
Bought a Samsung printer at a shop at SM. About a few months after naguba. I brought it to Samsung Service Center where i was told ang cartridge guba and i have to replace them all. Katu ning tag-as nga cartridge and worth about 2k each. Ang cartridge i was told dili apil sa warranty, so i spent about 10K sa replacement cartridge. Another few months naguba and this time it may take a while depende sa availabilty sa parts. After a few months nga follow-up, Samsung offered. a buyout or replacement with a different model . Since i already bought a different printer, I opted for buy-out. I receive the buyout payment 6 mos. after.
And i've always thought mao nay pasabot sa buyout warranty.

AFAIK boss, since under warranty they'll do more than just replace the battery. They wont just take your word for it nga battery ra ilisan. They'll run some diagnostic test and reset your phone to manufacturing state to eliminate the possibilty nga user-installed apps or configuration ang cause. Naa mna counter how many times na nasaksak ang charger and na charge ang battery and to be thorough they'll opt to reset kay basin ang counter ang issue. Anyway, as per experience mo ask mn gyd na sila if ok ba e-reset even if dili n gyd mo-on ang phone (as per MyPhone A888 experience) if sa imo case wla sila ni ask ug consent - lain sd na as you could still have retrieve pics and data kay battery rmn ang issue.

Huawei user man ko but never had problems concerning warranty

Bought my 4x sa Junrex and turns out to be a defective unit after 3 weeks. Akong battery mag cge ug spike from 34% back to 55% then mo naog balik to 12%. All of this in a charging state. They honored the warranty (Junrex) and replaced my phone (bisag outside ko sa 1week replacement). Maybe ang SMART ang nagtinapol.
