You do realise how absurd it will be for rebel forces, who captured an alleged policeman with drug related offence, to hand him over to the Philippine Court for trial?

as for my opinion on this issue - i strongly disagree that a rebel group will keep someone hostage just becoz he is suspected of drug-dealing involvement.

even if our government system is corrupt to the bone - IT IS STILL our justice system. a president should never give in to any act of terrorism nor side any terrorist group.

fact - npa = terrorist group = rebels.

against kaayo ko ani sa move ni duterte regarding ani ....

and let me quote something from that article

those rebels are a bunch of hypocrites ... they have the audacity to be self-righteous and judge this police officer as a bad person, when fact of the matter is, these rebels have killed hundreds of innocent people in their long history ....
True. We all know unsay ending ani, nga guilty jud na siya. Siguro naa juy basihanan ang accusations sa NPA nga naka kuha jud sila ug shabu kay basi sa report nga it was a drug operation because they have been receiving reports nga ang town nga under ato nga pulis is drug infested na kaayo and they are not doing anything nga pulis man unta sila. Then again, putting up a 'trial' pero pre-determined na ang verdict is just not fair at all. Well, maayo unta dili na siya putlan ug ulo.

My intuition tells me that Rodrigo Duterte will be among the great leaders in the world. With unorthodox approach and unswayable political will, he had a better chance of elevating the Philippines as a competitive country. For now, critics are coming from every possible directions, a very normal scene in an everyday life of a president. The good thing about Duterte is he is not publicity hungry, wealth fanatic, or even be controlled by religious shet. Such attributes is an essential fuel to bring out the characteristics of a true patriot geared in serving the country and its people for its betterment. For now, druggers are scrambling like a beehive shaken. No other leader have shown such immense political will against drugs and also local curfew implemention.

I also agree with you paps. I was once a member of lfs and ynd during erap and arroyo administration, and once supported the ideals of the left in my teen years kay lage batan.on pa. We rallied, fought for the oppressed and the poor, then later realized, the poor were not entirely oppressed, they become oppressed by staying violent, stubborn and unlawful - though not all of them. The middle class is also oppressed in another way and so are the members of the high society.

The idea of the rebel group is similar in attitude that's why they are sentimental to the poor and everything out of it is capitalism but how the hell are they allowed to sentence the guy for 20 years of hard labor, when they themselves are subject to insurgency?

PHILIPPINE LAWS, STATUTES AND CODES - CHAN ROBLES VIRTUAL LAW LIBRARY
Republic Act No. 7636 | Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines

R.A. 1700 is enacted during Marcos!

Note: Thanks for pointing out R.A. 1700 thats how i found R.A. 7636!
