I've been to Oslob last week. Actually, I accompanied my brother's family and his family(they are from US).

From the airport, we drop by SM city cebu to buy some stuffs. We left SM city cebu 5:30pm. By the way, we rented my friend's car(Chevrolet Spin) for P1,500 per day plus gasoline, self drive. Traffic was already bad from SM city cebu, SRP all the way to minglanilla. We had our first stop over at Shell gasoline station near South Gen Hospital to gas up. Our speed was basically 60-70kph since i'm not very familiar with the road. I also forgot to bring my car's GPS which could help me familiarize on the road ahead. Our second stop was Argao. We bought some foods for our dinner since we know we will be arriving to Oslob late. The best thing we could get was lechon manok over Mr. Liempo. My brother's friend Hector, who's a Puerto Rican, asked why I didnt buy any rice. I told him I had already bought hanging rice together with the lechon manok, "hanging rice?" he said. Then I explained him what was all about. He was amazed on the ingenuity of the filipinos to come come up with the technology on the hanging rice thing. Our third stop was Dalaguete for the CR break. We were very thankful to 711 Dalaguete branch for accommodating us. Its difficult to get a decent CR when you're travelling to the south during nighttime. We bought some drinks for the last stretch of our travel. We arrived Oslob 9:30pm. We had the quick dinner at the hotel, then take our much needed rest for the following day.

We stayed at GT seaside inn in Poblacion, Oslob. The hotel itself is no different from the other hotels in Oslob in terms of the structure, rooms and ambiance, but we must say its the best place to stay in Oslob. The place is owned by Tata(I dont know his real name), who treats each guest differently. He talks to you like you were classmates in high school before. I myself, felt like Im not staying in a hotel. I felt like i'm having a family vaction in my granpa's house because of his treatment to us. It really transpire with the hotel tagline says "Home away from home". INDEED! He is a very nice guy. He arranged our tour for that day for a very reasonable and low price. Tata together with his executive assistant Arthur managed to arranged us a whale watching and boat ride to Sumion Island on that day. The breakfast meal of the hotel was superb(2eggs, rice or toasted bread, choice of corned beef, longganiza, chorizo and tocino). We left for Tanawan for the whale watching 7am. There were already a lot of tourist(mostly europeans) when we arrived. We were supposed to go straight to Sumilon Island after, but due to the intense heat we decided to delay it. We went back to the hotel for lunch(with the hotel's ala carte foods) and take a nap while waiting for the sun to cold down. We started our boat ride to Sumilon 4pm which was a perfect time since it was not anymore hot. We reached the sandbars of Sumilon 5pm. The water was so clear and cold that we could not resist the temptation of swimming. We have also witness the sunset and Sumilon. We reached the hotel 6:30pm. Tata was waiting us and he was very excited in asking how was our boat ride. We told him we would want grilled fish and soup for dinner instead(hehe). He boarded his motorcycle went to the market to get us fresh fish. Wow! grilled salimbangon fish and tinola lapulapu was waiting for us before we could even changed our clothes from Sumilon. Dinner, drinks and some chit chats with Tata completed our day.

Tata's crew was very accommodating that they had to report early for our breakfast at 6am. We started our trip to Cebu City 7am. We drop by Dalaguete to visit some relatives of my brother's wife. Then we went to Simala. I was amazed by how Hector described Simala , "They have uprooted the vatican city and transferred it to Cebu". It was 10am when we reached Carcar for some lechon, chicharon and of course hanging rice. I cant explained how the Carcar lechon taste differently from others since I dont eat pork but the way my brother and hector eats, I must say its different. We reached Pier 1 12nn, one hour ahead of our Oceanjet trip to Bohol.
