Keyword: "physically transporting of SD memory cards". Which is obviously much slower and fraught with security risks that threaten the integrity of the entire electoral process. Moreover, there could be switching of SD cards with fake ones with pre-programmed election results. Hence we go back to unofficial results that could tally the "rigging" of those SD cards. See the pattern?
afaik, sdcard is not official unless it coincide with the official central server... it is mainly the backup along with the physical balot and receipt (if incase manual counting is needed)...

what is stored on sdcard? scanned version of the balot, encrypted before saved..

    Security level required on AES
    1) Transmitted data to central server
    2) Scanned encrypted copy of the ballot stored on sdcard, somesay it also store the xml formatted version of the data.
    3) ER Receipt

for cheating to be succesful this 3 level should be compromised

    - Physical ballot (only needed during manual counting)

Naglibog ko boss, you said Central Server is not connected to internet then how can it received data when you just mentioned Security Level #1 Transmitted data to central server?

for me #1 & 2 is sufficient enough as ER receipts is rather on the manual side same as the actual physical ballot.

what we have is theory and speculations... so the real question is, do you believe naay milagro na hitabo karon sa VP election? considering the recent nga mga pang hitabo?

Server will receive via transmitted data from SD Cards.. so there is the transmission not necessarily via internet as it is risky. There are other forms that they can utilized like communication signals (e.g. Globe and Smart).

internet doesnt mean public all the time, yes they transmit via cellular into a private network or satellite if no signal.. if you are familiar with Dial-up Networking ana siya nga klase.. di public..

I'm also being skeptical right now considering this "tampering" via hash code scripts.. so it pays to be vigilant bro. Same rule goes on every software releases where we aims to have a quality product. In this case, I'm hoping we have an honest election.
