It's okay if it's legitimate, what throws it out of equation is what if the VP post did not follow the usual "legitimate" election process.

I think she did follow. I work in Manila and a lot of people here are for Leni. I've been to Naga and the place is really progressive (although we can't discount the work of Jesse Robredo, but still the good projects were maintained by Leni)

Your point well taken. The real question really is, is there such a thing as Plan B.? If there is then that raises a lot of concerns on the Legitimacy of the VP post.
