In my opinion, this movie definitely earned the title Civil war. I mean, its a clash of Tony and Steve's ideologies. Tony agrees with the UN that the Avengers need to be checked., Steve doesn't. They also have good reasons why they think that way based on the things they go went through in previous Marvel films.
AND, all movies are subjective.![]()

At least Batman got kryptonite that's what makes it probable, although if Superman really want's to kill him he don't need to go near Batman he just shots his laser vision from the sky, or drop a vehicle or bldg on him.
I've read the Civil War comics that's why I was disappointed. Anyway I enjoyed Spiderman here because he's his real jolly self.
Only once. But I felt the same way when I first watched Avengers. Deadpool was amazing the first time I watched it, and after watching it for the 7th time yesterday, still feels amazing.
True. All movies are subjective. Just sharing my thoughts on the movie and indeed it is a very good movie. Way better than BvS.
I read the Civil War comics before this came out and the there really is a big difference on how they stood for their ideologies. Their reasons for fighting changed midway through the movie. Their ideologies was overshadowed by other conflicts.
Again, I'd still recommend this to anyone. It is a really good movie. And should entertain anyone who likes the genre. Antman and Spiderman definitely stole the show.
Again, we have to judge the movie by its own merit and not by comparing it to the comics. Kevin Feige already said it before, this movie is inspired by the famous comic book story arc of the same name and its not a direct adaptation.
If one comes into this movie with a mindset of comparing it to the comics then he/she will be disappointed.
i wonder why a lot of people are having a hard time separating comic books from films. this is clearly the MCU. different universe than the comics. and sakto ingon ni feige nga inspired lang by the comic books but not a direct adaptation. and then they judge the movie because they've read the comics.
Siempre if you're going to adapt a comics into a movie fans will expect that it's the live version of the comics. Just like Watchmen and 300. It's almost a frame by frame adaptation. I hate it when the directors downgrade the scale or the characters, if they can't adapt it in life then give us an animated film or don't use the title at all because it's like false advertisement.
Some fans think that way, but they are part of a very small minority. These are the hardcore fanboys.
The thing is,average movie goers havent even read the Civil War comics so they go into this movie having a different mindset.
Theres also a good reason why they downgrade or scale the characters. What works in the comics doesnt automatically work in movies. Its a very different form of media. Just think of movies like its battlestar Galactica while Comics is Star Trek. There is a sense of realism in the MCU while in the comics everything goes. Even Zack Snyder changed the ending of Watchmen to make it more realistic.(having a Giant Squid doesnt make sense).
Also, its not false advertisement. Kevin Feige said it from the start. The movie is inspired by the comics with the same name. Its not a direct/partial adaptation. They carry the same name, yes, but at no point in time did they advertise it to be a direct adaptation of the comics.
