    Default Year of Mercy...

As much as I respect the Church... Kaning "Year of Mercy" nga ge impose ni Pope Francis, mura man ug la-in.... As a theist, how can any man assume nga ge sunod pod ni sa Ginoo sa taas?

Lain man gud ang idea nako aning "Year of Mercy"... meaning pwede rata maka buhat ug sala or violation pero after enjoying it, mangayo ta ug sorry... pasayloon ta.

Ingon man gani si Pope Francis, pwede ra pasayloon ang mga nagpa abort kung nangayo na sila ug sorry.

Seeing the recent news nga naay ge labay nga aborted twins sa manila... ilang suspect kay estudyante ron. So after a month or years mangayo rato ug sorry ang girl then pasayloon ra.

IMHO, ang Roman Catholic Church these days kay nagka soft na... that's why other groups such as ISIS are winning over the Christian World.

Pope Francis has called on Catholics around the world to use the ongoing Jubilee year of mercy to “open wide” the doors of their hearts to forgive others and to work against social exclusion, even of those that may have caused them bother or upset.

In his weekly audience in St. Peter’s Square Wednesday, the pontiff said that walking through any of the holy doors open in dioceses around the world for the Jubilee year should be a sign of “true conversion of our heart.”

“When we go through that door, it is good to remember that we must also open wide the doors of our heart,” said Francis, suggesting people can even stand before the holy door and ask: “Lord, help me to open the doors of my heart!”

“The holy year won’t be very effective if the doors of our heart do not let Christ enter, who pushes us to go towards others, to bring him and his love,” said the pope.

“Therefore, as the holy door remains open because it is the sign of the welcoming that God himself reserves for us, so also our doors -- those of the heart -- must always be open to not exclude anyone,” he said. “Not even those that bother me. No one!”
Francis: Mercy Jubilee means we must open our hearts, forgive others | National Catholic Reporter

It is a call for unity but so sad only those who heed will have a peaceful way of life living with each other in harmony. Those who do not will continue to live through disarray and chaos and they could not control it for they are just mere mortals which excels in numbers and arms which others could also possibly have.

Justice and mercy is not really the same. Doing evil deeds and later asking mercy for fear of retribution is unjust.

Forgiveness and understanding can be given towards our fellow man is correct... But one should be liable of the evil deeds done.

    ^^ Agree,
At that instance we could invoke the laws of the land as well as the laws of GOD,
we are still being judged with our own wrongdoings and punishments are in the offing.
We can still make civilization orderly through the regulations offered by the two laws.

The Church has no 100% hold on the State... but because of this "Mercy" thing, the Church sometimes mind-conditioning us subconsciously... just to let the wrongdoings go and not to file criminal or administrative charges towards the suspect.

And it encourages that past abortions are okay and can be forgiven, as long as you have repented... but the State says it is a crime to commit abortion.

What the church can do is to remind and reprimand, but it is always subject towards freewill and totally dependent with it. The laws of the land can punish but the church can't for it is only GOD who could do so. In comparison they are even having less authority compared with policemen. The church is only a guide and most important referral towards GOD.

The church can actually enforce church discipline among its members and this is biblical. Unfortunately it's no longer practice by many churches today.

    As per Matthew 18:15
15 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.

The if word really matters a lot.
