Realistically speaking, Its very difficult. But at least we get to host the tournament so it will continue the momentum of Philippine Basketball.

IMHO, the best shot we had getting to RIO was the FIBA ASIA tournament. Ill still watch it though. It will be very entertaining.

Nice opportunity na sad ni sa atong mga cagers para mo improve ug maau and added experience. Hopefully makasulod ta, I don't think we don't stand a chance against the countries in our bracket. Anything is possible =D

Murag di katoohan nga bilog ang bola bai. Unsaon man nato pag pildi sa France,Canada ug Turkey? Hesus maryosep, Puro man na NBA players ang naa sa ila line up. Di sad ko mahibung if di paduwaon si Pabebe Fajardo. wa man gani paduwa.a nga way injury samot na run nga tinood na jud.

With or without Tony Parker, Boris Diaw and Nic Batum, France is still a contender. They have a lot in their pool of players who are NBA caliber. The good thing is that format by FIBA allows weaker team to get even with the stronger team. A best of seven series against France, Canada or Turkey is sure Gilas loss. But a knockout game can give Gilas a shot to win against these top teams. Ex.an off night of France vs a high field goal percentage by Gilas. Who knows?

wa gyd ta khbaw kay kato btawng FIBA Spain, didto nako nakita na maka compete man gyd diay ang Gilas sa high caliber international teams like argentina. Naka labaw2 pa gae toh sila sa scoring pag first half sa game. Maau man ang coach karon, hopefully with Blatche and Clarkson og unta muduwa gyd sila Fajardo og Slaughter, maka daog gyd unta ang Gilas. Excited nako para sa FIBA Manila Qualfying Tournament. hehehe

Maybe we can get an upset win against one of these powerhouse teams. Its very possible.
But I won't bet my money on the Philippines winning the whole tournament. The group is just too stacked, with Turkey,Canada and France.

Even then, Ill still watch the games. At this point, I wont believe that Fajardo or Slaughter will play. Ill only believe it when I see them actually play.
