Default New Laptop upgrade to SSD transfer restoration partition

    Good day guys.

I'm planning to buy a new laptop. but most regular priced laptops today
only come with HDD and I want SSD.

If I upgrade the laptop to an SSD, I would lose the original OS windows
10 OS located inside the HDD.

How do you transfer the restoration partition contents from HDD to SSD?

pwede man siguro na ma clone...

or fresh install ka og RTM nga same sa imo OS, and then use your OEM windows key... i think that should still work but only tried it on Windows Vista and Windows 7...

para nako, mas problemahon nimo ang warranty sa laptop mismo kay mostly i void na nila kung mag ilis kag parts sa sulod...

i just remembered, dapat naa kay recovery DVD ana or you can create one based from the original recovery partition... then you use that to reinstall your OS to your new SSD... murag mao ni pinaka sayon nga option...

ug apilon nmo restore partition, murag d na masigo sa imo SSD unless nalang ug large capacity ssd jud na sya. but wala na ko kasugat ug preinstalled OS na naa restore partition, instead naa apil tool sya para mu create ug recovery disks/dvd. i check lang daan unsay options sa imo laptop paliton, or better yet buy one without preinstalled windows

Thanks @bim27142 & @werty. Last time I bought years ago pa to, recovery partition man to ila gamit. Hopefully naa paagi ila ihatag na mabutang nako to a DVD ang necessary files so i can do restorations/fresh installs any time i want. Mao rajud ako gi apas, SSD and ability to fresh install any time.

About the warranty, mao jud pod na trade off. But since sa US ni paliton ang unit, I'll be taking the risk pod of having difficulty sa warranty.

naa gyud siguro na tool or software ang OEM bro nga pwede ka mag create og recovery DVD... based so far sa akong mga na palit nga laptops (Toshiba, Acer, Samsung), naa gyud sila ana... mao gyud na pirme akong 1st step, create og recovery dvd pag abot sa balay...

I have done just what you wanted to do sa imo laptop. It's for an american client sa iyang 2 ka laptops. worked and is still working well pero ang downside lang is gamay rag capacity ang ssd compared to hdd.

The good thing about the laptops nga iya gipatrabaho sa ako kay dili ngadto mag save og bug at nga files iya mga employee. just documents and photoshop outputs ra nila so ok ra ang tag 512gb ssd niya.

I'm fine with the low capacity bro. will probably use 128 or 256gb coz mao raman ni ang affordable mostly. I'll convert the HDD that comes with the laptop to an external HDD to save large files. It's what I did to an ageing laptop too.
