Both are a way of wanting/needing something and hoping it'll happen. However, a prayer is directed to God whether it's asking for something knowing that it may never happen coz it's not meant for you. It's a way of communicating to God whether it's to thank Him, ask for something, or cry....

first is "Wish" and "Prayers" came out from it... if you do have "Wish" you will "Pray" for it to come to reality.... so Wish and Prayer is two different things with two different meaning , Wish is the Pre requesite of Prayers, "You have a Wish that's Why you Pray"

a wish is a desire that you want to have something or someone in your life. then doing something to attain it.
prayer is having also the desire to have something or someone, saying it to God, with faith, and then doing something to achieve it with the help of God
mas ok ang prayer kai you get a help from God. sometimes mn pud, ang wish murag favor. kaya buhatun sa isa k tao sa imuha but ang prayer sometimes, kanang murag impossible but will be possible because you have faith na paminawn ka ni Lord
