Correct, if you are not paid. Pero mga rally sa atoa kay pamulabog lang. Paid rallyist. The don't even know what they are marching/shouting for. Look at the recent APEC protest. What's in the summit to protest for? Those stupid people don't even have a clue what is APEC all about; how important is the summit to our recovering economy. Of course, because they are stupid.

Now, tell me. Asang dapita diha wala nila abusari ang freedom of expression?

Ngano man di i mag rally na peaceful ig human sa program mang lakaw ug mang limpyo.

Angay pud ni tan.awn, how much the LGU and PNP spent everytime naay rally nga hinanggaw.
Basig igo nana ipa buhat ug classrom

freedom is freedom but not absolute.

Countries (our country included) that criminalizes libel cannot be said to have freedom of expression/speech, because the true test of that freedom is precisely when that speech/expression elicits a negative reaction. So in a truly free society, the way to handle name-calling and criticisms is to grow a thicker skin and develop the art of sarcasm and euphemism. As you can see, this requires a lot of maturity, self-restraint and creativity. Are the majority of our people mature and civilized? Or are we instinctively bound to shoot another person for holding on to the Karaoke microphone for too long?

On the other hand, as a very imperfect society with an imperfect government, how are we to improve collectively if that feedback mechanism called freedom of speech is stifled?

Agree. Mao na dili gyud pwede na absolute ang freedom of expression, like the right to life. It has to have inherent limitations.

the libel law is there to avoid the freedom of expression to be abused by those who have the voice to influence a massive crowd.

example: if a radio broadcaster accuses one family of being thieves again and again without proof will make the listeners believe they are indeed thieves. The rights of that family has been violated, they were not even given chance to defend or broadcast there side.
now, even though the accused can defend there side, but since the accuser has the access to counter their argument every minute/hour. who do you think will people believe?

Freedom of expression is different from freely accusing somebody. you can express what you want, but you can't just accuse without violating the other's rights.

TL;DR: the law is there for a reason.

Democracy is freedom with "Limitation", freedom of expression, is when one person is free from expressing his/her idea without impedement, however under Democracy there is NO absolute freedom

Your rights ends when the rights of others starts, thats how democracy works...

who ever thinks freedom of expression is absolute well are stupid and dont deserved any respect, well there you go, thats how absolute freedom of expression works
