Sorry but I haven't and it seems like QA thing. I'm not QA by the way I am a developer and when we develop systems failure is unacceptable or else ma cancel ang whole project. My point is kung part ko sa team nga gabuhat aning application para sa PCOS machines, dali ra kaau naku ma maniobra ang result kay kahibaw ko sa iya design ug asa ko mag back door. Kung naay mobayad naku nga gusto modaug sa election dali ra kaau naku na pag maniobra. Mao nang mas maau unta ang modala sa automated election foreign country or entity like US ba kaha, kung gusto tag clean and honest result kay kung mga pinoy lang maihap ra mga tawo nga involved sa govt nga di mabayran.

^^ to add on with design controls, it is by the way a methodology commonly used in manufacturing. Obviously we are not talking about manufactuing as per QA is concerned. This is an IT matter and certainly desig control will apply less or nothing when implemented in PCOS architecture. I know coz im in a QA sector, and based on rickflag statement that is true. If developer wants certain designs and functions to remain hidden and dormant insode a code, they coudl do that and they alone know how to trigger it to enable. So it really boils down on: " maihap ra mga tawo nga involved sa govt nga di mabayran."

I am a software engineer and it is not only QA involved on this. If you're field/industry is highly sensitive, even software developers will need create these information and will have to document on it. From there, you can generate a good/better software requirement specification.

Part of it is to review the software behavior and the reason why it was implemented that way, which may trace back to it's software requirements, up all the way to customer requirements.

It's not for us developers to decide what method or methodologies to use in our work. It's always the management group, you should know that. If my company is not using it, it's not my fault hehehe. Anyway we haven't encountered any issues with what we've done even if it's a high demand and sensitive applications.

Anyway my point is no system is totally safe from hacking especially if the hacker is actually involved in the development of that system, unless we have a technology to erase someone's memory after finishing his project just like in the movies.
