HAHA! Do you even know where did Rama get his figures for the budget proposal for the last couple of years?
It was unrealistic and acted like the city has unlimited source of money. You might want to show proof on how did he came up with those bogus figures and where does he intent to get the budget for it because he didn't prove anything at all.

Allocating the budget for basic services such as salary for employees is an accounting 101 matter.
And yes, it should have been kept safe for the people and not spent on some other activity that Rama favors thinking he always has a blank check. If you think that growth was not considered, the mayor and his office should have made that argument long before, but didn't he?

I would suggest not to judge the book by it's title but seek out the details.
Dali ra kaayo ma ilad ang mga tao because Rama is positioning himself as if his actions are for the people but again, transparency is a big concern for his administration.

All I talked about was none collection of garbage due to lack of budget, not the whole budget. Let's look at the facts about the budget for garbage collection. An original budget of approximately P127M was asked for. The minions of Tomas only approved 51M knowing full well that the amount would only last a few months. Why would they do that? So of course, when that money ran out, another budget was proposed. Again, about P51M was approved despite knowing that is was still not enough. Karon, hurot na pud. Yet another budget was asked for, along with other items, in the latest supplemental budget. In the first place, if they approved the original proposed budget for garbage collection, this whole problem could or may have been avoided. Secondly, in the latest proposed supplemental budget, the minions of Tomas could have just approved the part of the budget to be used for payment of our garbage collection. Garbage collection is a basic service we are all entitled to since we are taxpayers. It should not be politicized like Tomas is doing. Make no mistake about it Tomas Osmeña is the cause of the none collection of garbage in Cebu City right now. He is a hypocrite of the biggest order.

While Rama is not exactly perfect and has many weaknesses like that shameful karaoke singing of his, Rama has always done his best to provide us all the basic services we are entitled to. I don't know where Rama got his figures for the city budget, but I would guess that whatever figure he needed, he increased it substantially knowing that the unfriendly city council would slash it by at least half. Kauban baya sila ni Tommy sa una so he knows how Tommy works.

Salamat sa imong share bro. Very informative ang video. It just goes to show how politics has reared its ugly head in our city and we are suffering for it. Two of the biggest items in SB1 are a budget to fully pay our loan to JICA for the SRP project and a budget for our garbage collection. These are the two most important items that will affect us most. Maybe the SB1 is not perfect and the BOPK councillors are within their rights to asko questions. But let me give you another perspective. If the BOPK councillors are so afraid that some budget items are anomalous and might be blamed on them, why don't they simply disapprove the budget? Why will they defer action on it and sit on it? Why blame team Rama when the council refuses to approve or disapprove it? Kinsa naman ang nagbinuang karon? Ang items nga ilang gi question sa video cost a total of a few million pesos. Just by paying for our debt to JICA, we will save over P500 million in interest alone. So ang kwarta i-bilin nalang sa banko earning very little while we continue to pay high interest for our loan? Sakto ba kaha ni? Why did the council not simply approve the items for loan payment and garbage collection since they are urgent and just disapprove the other items?


Make no mistake about it, BOPKs actions or lack of it, with regards to the SB1 is pure politicking, nothing more, nothing less. And we Cebuanos unfortunately get to suffer for it.

we have to remember that the minds behind BOPK are oldschool politicians and are so-called TraPo. they're so good at playing politics. hope cebuanos doesn't fall for their tricks.
