^^ on the previous post, I thought Cardinal Sin headed the whole thing. I lived through that period and swear that the late Cardinal ordered mass "civil disobedience". I remember it clearly because it was the first time I heard the term. You saw the rally...the nuns were there, the opposition figures, yes Cardinal Sin...and then the defectors showed up one by one, the last one to defect being Enrile (the ultimate balimbing).

Personally, if Bongbong will make life easier for everyone, I'd vote for him. Right now, he lacks specifics. He wants to improve education. Yes, but how? The majority is trained by mediocre teachers and raising their salaries won't make mediocre teachers suddenly turn outstanding. Can he make the whole bureaucracy function more efficiently (no more waiting long lines) and function as though we're really in the Information Age (and not the Medieval Age)? Will he cut taxes, liberalize trade, allow more FDIs in order to create more opportunities for everyone?

I fear Bongbong will be a divisive figure. The word "Marcos" will bring up tension in the Philippines. Bongbong will certainly do his best to bury his dad at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (something I really don't care about...but something a lot of people will object to)...and he will re-write history to make everyone in school learn that Marcos was a hero. So if Marcos is a hero, then Ninoy has to be the villain. Coming soon to your children's Civics books!

For all that's being trumpeted about Marcos' accomplishments and greatness, I've checked what the Marcoses had done with the economy of Ilocos Norte. Let's see: Cornicks, swine/poultry raising, tourism, and (ahem) windmill. Let's say installing a windmill by calling up a company and ordering one is a GREAT accomplishment...but Cornicks?? Ilocos Norte doesn't even compare to Cebu City. Why don't we take stock of how great we are as Cebuanos, rather than looking up to Ilocos Norte for a mythologized hero?

Careful of your ignorance dong apollo, not only by the ilocanos but we as a nation should take pride from this accomplishment. This you called panghambog project is the first ever wind farm in the Philippines and is considered to be the biggest in Southeast Asia. This is a technical and scientific project that serves not only as electric power generators but also as a tourist attraction. At least some people have the initiatives to have this constructed.

Funny, really? what are you expecting.. came up with a different "windmill"? Of course we copied the technology, that's how things work "copy/borrow - modify - improve" .. i wonder what's going on with your mind with this comment. Palpak as always..

To improve education, bring back the NCEE. It was a gauge to measure who among the high school graduates can take a 4 year course or vocational. Karon nga wa na ni, even somebody who's very poor in English can enroll and finish a teaching education course mao na ang mga teachers lacks knowledge samot pa ang iya students.

mythologized hero? you must be referring to the traitor Ninoy Aquino (‘Ninoy vowed to drop Sabah claim to get KL support vs Marcos’ | Headlines, News, The Philippine Star | philstar.com).
Anyways, I'm achievements-oriented. I go for that candidate with the most achievements amongst others - which happens to be BBM.

    Duterte supports BBM.
    Miriam supports BBM.
I'm glad I'm able to see things the way they do.

    Just like my point earlier.
Whether BBM is good or bad - depende ra jud.

He is good to those who are aware and appreciative of his performance and achievements.
However, it is bad to those who envy his ingenuity, vision and foresight, to those who seek revenge accented by hatred.

    Now vote wisely.

If dili makatoyok ang hangin then dli pwede na diha, simple logic but i was not referring to your place only, its should be Philippine-wide. Ayaw ko ingna sa ilocos ra ang ang suitable sa windmill? Point is they are the first to come up with it and harnessed the idea to take advantage of having an efficient-clean energy. Kudos to them!

And oh pls before you say kaya na sa mandaue I have no doubt :P but pls resolve the traffic situation sa diha maski kana lang sa for starters.

Nahimo niya sa ilocos? Well daghan to mention it here, feel free to explore: Socio-Economic Profile 2012 | Official Website of Ilocos Norte

What he has done in the 16th Congress alone? To name a few:

    - He has pushed forward a bill to provide affordable housing to lower income and lower-middle income households in urban areas .
    - He author of the bill (SB 422) that sought to provide protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration for children in conflict areas
    - He author of the bill (SB 409) that aimed to cultivate a globally competitive soybean industry here in the Philippines – a soybean industry that could take advantage of the growing demand for soy and soy based products both here and abroad?
    - He authored a bill (SB 40 that was designed to secure funding and support for hydrogen research and development here in the Philippines
    - How about the First Class Public Schools and Libraries Act, The National Mariculture Act, The Teachers Education Act, and the Public School Teachers' Salary Upgrading Act?
    - Who were the senators who said no in the patently rigged trial of Corona? Yup, he was one of them.
    - Also, who crafted the constitutionally sound alternative to the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL)?

Can you name any other vice presidential that will matched up with his accomplishment in terms of legislative output and acumen? Or perhaps experience in local governance?

Basically, like you and others the most argument (any) that would be throwm against him would be ad hominem.

Now the real question is this: Why are you really against Senator Marcos?
