We started with 56k modem and we survived. Gitagaan ko ug gift unya mo reklamo pako mura para nako baga nasad kaayo ko ug nawng.

Internet is an evolving technology. I don't think it will stick to 256 forever. We have to start somewhere. This is a bold move sa DOST. Who would have thought a 3rd world country with Free public wifi.

A year ago I was rooting for information flowing freely in every corner in the Philippines aron tanan tawo or at least ang uban ma well-informed sa panghitabo ug problema sa atong nasod. Guess I got what I wished for.

We have the right to complain. ATONG KWARTA ang gi gamit ani nga project. Though it's a 'government project' it is funded by taxpayers money. Pila ka BILLIONS gani ni nga project and all they can offer is what speed gani? 256kbps? We are paying PLDT billions for this project unya 256kbps lang ang mahatag nila?

Parehas ra ni ug nag pa buhat ka ug balay, ang gusto nimo nga balay kay concrete ang gamiton pero ang materyales nga gi palit sa mag himo kay kawayan lang pero lagi wala pa man mahuman unya nalang ka mo complain ngano kawayan ang gi gamit ug dili concrete.

Pagbuhat ug balay is not a good analogy. Sakto dili ka dapat maghuwat mahuman ang balay before ka mo complain kay irreversible ang damage and cost.

Kining internet brader dili man irreversible damage, it is just a matter of delimiting the bandwidth. You don't need to "guba" the cable just to increase speed. It is only a matter of turning the speedial and BUDGET. We start with 256k, and do you believe diha ra kutob ug dili na mausab kay mao rajud? We have to start somewhere right? And because this somewhere doesn't fit your taste and you complain.

If you are used to 2MB speed oh please then don't use the Free wifi. The 256k speed is for those people who don't have internet at home and they won't complain for sure. You know why? Because they don't have something to compare it to. They will be forever thankful to DOST.
