putting the bible aside, the Jews simply discouraged the practice because it created "monsters" in their midst. People born out of incest have the highest rates of mental retardation, down's syndrome and infertility and they are a liability to Jewish families. Christians and pagan romans carried on the practice. Much worse, the pagan romans even raped women from other tribes rather than mess with their own moms, just to avoid incest.

I think the official catholic position on this is this belongs to the sin of adultery and has to be confessed, since almost all s****** act occurs outside of marriage. There is no threat of excommunication from incest though.

Besides, with over 7 Billion of us roaming the planet, thinking of your own mother as your fubu / new conquest may not be the best idea. lol.

wala na gi specific ug gi specify nganu sa bible bro? naa man cguro.. These prohibitions are found predominantly in Leviticus 18:8-18 and 20:11-21, but also in Deuteronomy. They rather emphasize o morality, and dli dogmatic ang bible? I sincerely doubt that.
