anyways kana imong ip back read nako about "Silence of the Scripture". makahatag ka nako ug unsa nga posts number? para pud fair tang duha ba. nihatag baya ko ug unsa nga posts number nimo

well that is true, i am far better than you in terms of biblical education based on my observation nimo, therefore I am more expert than you.

Next time don't be a smart ass kay masoko ra ba dayun ka tubagon og pinilosopo pod. hehe.

daghan jd na ang naa sa silence of the scripture boss.. pero in line sa thread, murag self explanatory raman cguro pero kaning storya bah na daghan sanga tungod kay dli completo. And to add sa topic about incest sa bible, naa man, clear and simple. The most commonly thought-of examples are the sons/daughters of Adam and Eve (Genesis 4). Abraham marrying his half-sister Sarah (Genesis 20:12), Lot and his daughters (Genesis 19), Moses’ father Amram who married his aunt Jochebed (Exodus 6:20), and David’s son Amnon with his half-sister Tamar (2 Samuel 13).

Bastos o dli? Kani man gud ang TS, ang huna2x murag canal..

It is important to distinguish between incestuous relationships prior to God commanding against them (Leviticus 18:6-1 and incest that occurred after God’s commands had been revealed. Until God commanded against it, it was not incest.

    way mag buot.

then that brings us to these questions:

    1) Unsa man jud diay ng incest?
    2) what moved God to put this into law?

    1) Unsa man jud diay ng incest?

    - The crime of sexual relations or marriage taking place between a male and female who are so closely linked by blood or affinity that such activity is prohibited by law. Common naman cguro ni pero para sa wala naka hibaw jd unsa. mao na ang definition. Take note sa "crime" which leads us to "why"

    2) what moved God to put this into law?

    - It seems, then, that by the time of Moses, the human genetic code had become polluted enough that close intermarriage was no longer safe. So, God commanded against sexual relations with siblings, half-siblings, parents, and aunts/uncles (Genesis 2:24 seems to indicate that marriage and sexual relations between parents and children were never allowed by God). While the idea of incest is disgusting and abhorrent to us today, as it should be, we have to remember why it is sinful, that is, the genetic problems.

copy-paste ra na bro.. pero uyon ko sa explanation, nonetheless.

putting the bible aside, the Jews simply discouraged the practice because it created "monsters" in their midst. People born out of incest have the highest rates of mental retardation, down's syndrome and infertility and they are a liability to Jewish families. Christians and pagan romans carried on the practice. Much worse, the pagan romans even raped women from other tribes rather than mess with their own moms, just to avoid incest.

I think the official catholic position on this is this belongs to the sin of adultery and has to be confessed, since almost all s****** act occurs outside of marriage. There is no threat of excommunication from incest though.

Besides, with over 7 Billion of us roaming the planet, thinking of your own mother as your fubu / new conquest may not be the best idea. lol.

mao lagi na akong ponto, nga wa na sa bible nga answer because the bible is silent mao ng ni ingon in my previous posts nga we can use sources nga wala sa bible to come up with an answer.

pero ang problema lang ani nga approach is any answer is as good as the one given above w/c is genetic ang reason kay ngano? di man dogmatic ang bible sa pagtu bag ani nga issue.

then osa pod nga question, sa ato kining prohibition is based on god's aesthetic preference and not by his moral values.

prohibition of incest is because of man's common sense. nobody likes to have retarded, malformed people in their family to be honest.

pagans and christians prohibit it, but muslims have a selective prohibition depende sa country.

agree ko ani kay repulsive kaayo ni hunahunaon oi. mura ta og mga animals ani og batasan, mao bitaw nangutana jud ko if kato ba naa sa leviticus nga gi bawal na sa ginoo ang incest gibasi ba to sa moral values sa ginoo or unsa ba kay silent man ang bible sa reason science man ang ila gipatubag ug di man ang bible.

then nganong sa kaniadto ok man sa ginoo ang pakig hilawas sa kaugalingong igsoon? mao ra ba ni pamaagi nga managhan ang tao sa kalibotan ato nga panahon?

OR was there something else? like another race perhaps beside nila Adam and Eve?

wala na gi specific ug gi specify nganu sa bible bro? naa man cguro.. These prohibitions are found predominantly in Leviticus 18:8-18 and 20:11-21, but also in Deuteronomy. They rather emphasize o morality, and dli dogmatic ang bible? I sincerely doubt that.

unsa man diay sa imong reason nganu gi prohibit ni sa bible?

It was not until many centuries later that humanity discovered the genetic reason that incest is unsafe and unwise.

my opinion lang brad ngano,,, is because gamay ra kaayo ang mga tawo then lagyo lagyo pa gyud sila, thinking that Jews are sheep herders. they may not encounter a single person in the course of years because they are busy in the mountains herding the sheep. and their biological clock is ticking so they have to find a way to reproduce. luod paminawon but sometimes the daughter has to make the sacrifice and be a wife to his father or brother. kana ra gyud bible story ni Isaac ug Rebeccah na mo-cross pa ug desert si Isaac para makakita ug wife, and it took him years para magka uyab. dili gyud lalim sa ilang panahon. the easiest way then is to marry your sibling, or even your own father.

God did command them to "go forth and multiply" but dili kaayo klaro ang instruction mao siguro usahay unayon pud nila ilang igsoon. LOL. later nila na found out na maka-cause ni ug abnormalidad sa taw mao gi ban na lang gyud ang pag unay sa mag igsoon. just my 25 cents though.

I remember one of my teachers in college gave a hypothetical scenaro -- post apocalypse then kami ra sa akong family ang nabilin sa tibuok kalibutan and we need to repopulate the earth. we have no choice but to commit incest gyud , kay mao ang sakto nga buhaton for the moment.
