i thought you didn't wanna tackle the issue of "church and state..." let me just answer you with your last post.

Even the poor got oppressed and violated by their governments you mean to say the priest should keep silent and maintain separation of church and state?

what's the significance of 5 bishops calling for a top official's ouster?

- power of the church to control. for as long as we have a provision of church and state separation, they must "religiously" adhere to that.

Are these priest people too? Are their parishoners the same people who composed the political constituents?

the priests are people exercising the power of the church to influence the masses.

If the government cant protect the people, it is the Church who will take up the cudgels. For what is the use of preaching about goodness and protecting life when the Church is oblivious to the happenings in the society. Its an empty Church.

if the government cannot protect the people, the church, by law, doesn't have any right to be the law. what is yours is not yours.

I know you want that to happen so that the Church will lose its credibility before the people.

So you prefer chaos than the church backed government. By the way, the bishops did not claim to replace GMA. Read my post carefully. You are reaching a point bordering on irrationality. I am not convinced by your ideas. But anyway I respect that. Thats how your mind works.

i do not wish to take the topic elsewhere. i was just commenting on how nosy the church is with everything.

majority of the filipino people are just plain whiners. there has never been a governance that the whole populace has been totally satisfied of. there will never be a perfect somebody fit for the job! with our corrupt government, we have no choice but settle for the lesser evil. if we cannot be satisfied with the people we have chosen, we will only have impeachment after impeachment.

the root of the problem is not the government... it is with each individual.

Whiners? Are you nuts? People are suffering from poverty and hunger already unprecedented in history. Oil price increase. There is corruption everywhere! There is an impending tax increase, power rate increase. At the same time, there are no jobs. Unemployment is rising. So is the fare of transportation. Prices of basic goods is beyond the rich of ordinary people. There are increased criminal activity. The peso is dwindling. Jueteng is rampant.

The government is inutile, hypocritical and always fooling the people. You must be in dreamland.

There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

and who do you wanna blame for all the problems? the government? why not start from the masses? who puts up people up in pedestals and who allows to be "dictated" by them?

if you can solve the government, you cannot solve the people! solve the people and you solve the government! if you rely on the government to rectify the situation, you must be in dreamland!

the government is not the root of the problem. remember when i said "the government is by the people and for the people"?

how would you fix the situation by abolishing the government when you still have the same people around you? the problem is with the people. thus, the change must start from within the people.

who puts up questionable officials? the people...

who complains about the government? the people...

who is to be blamed? the people...

that is how a democracy works!



TAXES

with our total population, how many pay taxes? and if they ever did, how many pay honestly?

if you have been a good filipino, you have the right to whine! but if you have contributed to the rubbish in government, yes including littering, clean your own junk and start from within.
