as what ive understand sa law... anyone will not have access to the list of names, only the law enforcement or any agency that is ordered by the court, privacy? i think you guys are just drinking too much caffeine.. a lot of people are complaining privacy while they post their lifestory on facebook... and yet concerned about privacy... pfffttt!!! yah right!!...

this is not the same sa PLDT/Globe nga ibutang sa yellowpages... lay off the caffeine once in a while...

Sim card registration would only go well if the national id law is in effect.

In countries like Singapore, you only need to present your NRIC (national id) to buy a sim card. The id is then scanned and uploaded online to the phone's database maintained by the telco. Foreigners will have to bring their passport for it to be scanned and uploaded to the national registry (online). The NRIC is then linked to the sim of your phone. This can be done via 7-eleven stores nationwide.

Sa Pinas, ang looy ani would be kanang mga sari-sari stores who don't have access to the internet to upload registration details of the customer online. In effect mawad-an ug revenue ang mga gamay nga tindahan, pati na ang mga telco.

I don't think its a question of privacy, customer details are only kept only by regulatory bodies and are not sold to any third party.

    national ID
    SIM card registration

    a very corruptible file
dont get me wrong i can see the good intentions
but i am not sure if we are ready to protect those

just think of this, the TELCOs do not want to be responsible for keeping the files
    you wonder why
not just because of cost but the hassle of of red tape
plus the liability they will be caught in the middle of when to and not to release the file
possibly getting sued along the way

someone asked the senator so what happens since this will create a SIM blackmarket
all he said was why will there be a black market when it is controlled by the TelCo
too naive my dear senator there is a reason why they are called bad elements
its because they always find a way around the system

smuggling, drugs, guns, bribery a few things that go under the radar

    like i said
nice ang intention but nag worry ko sa execution

good point! everyone of us worries about something and maybe all share the same sentiments.

if other countries managed to implement it then we should be able to do it. the only downside here in the phils are the corrupt government(not all) and other scum.

my pov. National ID and SIM card registration should be implemented immediately.

Salalima said one clear way this would be violated is through the provision in the bill allowing only those 15 years old and over to own a registered SIM card. This would disenfranchise younger people, he said.
disenfranchise younger people jd? hehe ingna lng jd palusot lng na ninyu kay mawad-an mog revenue if mahimo ning balaud ang bill

National ID system = which abiding citizen should carry everytime you go out (para in case naay mahitabo its your identification)
SIM Card registration = okay ra..( para sa negosyante or kanang mga guwang na) pero sa batan-on dli cla ganahan kay dli cla ka troll

National ID system jud importante kanang dli magpa ID consider as terrorist or threat sa country...

Nahh ayaw jud tuo anang dili ibutang sa YellowPages safe naka..

We specify that our residential number should not be included in yellow pages..but paksyet ning globe
    gibutang gihapon..

Another case...wala sa yellow pages..then taga globe agents or affiliated manawag
kay naa daw promo..ambot kinsay globe dire maka relate...kakapoy ana nila
mamukaw ug tingkatulog na oras..bisag hapon pa na...graveyard ko..yawatis jud ka distorbo sa mga anemalz..

I really hate telemarketers...invasion of privacy!
Companies expose your data to their affiliated agents..Don't expect your number to stay private all the time
hazzle man gani ang plan...mao private number is pre-paid..now mawala pa jud privacy!

I'm not against Sim card registration...but pls secure our data even to legal telemarketers!

kasabot ko anang mag sige panawag kay naay promo... diba kung naay registration kabalo sad ka kinsay nanawag? if they call you and you dont like it, then you can get back to that person kay naka register man sad ang iyang number...

well as what ive know sa ako mga kaila nga namaligyag number sa mga marketer, most of them didnt get the number from telco... kanang mag pa load mao nay usual kuhaan ug number apart, sa directory... apil ang forum ug social media thats why i rarely post my number publicly...

its the same process what i did before sa panahon email pa ang uso ug wala pay cellphone... i harvest the email on forums and directory sites like geocities, ebay, amazon and some famous site where stupid people put their email... then use a bot to send email marketing spam...
