I understand nga taga-ABS CBN ka sa una, but you can't just defend the ugly sides of a corporation just because ex-employee ka.
Cartoons are a different issue, you might as well create a new thread for that. If cartoons were that bad, governments all over the owrld would have banned them on spot. That article has some serious arguments to tackle.
My position is as always do not educate your kids through TV, I suggest that instead of using that radiating set how about augment the education department within the government, make education accessible to everyone. Nothing beats a live interactive lecture where doubts and questions are clearly addressed. It's a mockery for the poor if they are only educated through TV while they should have that full right to be educated. In the other hand none would graduate and will have a degree just by watching TV. No I'm not a fanatic to any stations nor a former employee, I do not know where did you get that information. I will open the channel watch be amused then if not then of course I will turn it off. I was never been a fan of that shitty PBB show.

television is sometimes referred to as the idiot box. for a reason. but it usually depends on who you ask. i call it the marketer's box.

pbb probably sells big, which is why they keep airing it. good example? not ever. best thing you can do is find that button with the OFF letters on it. and then train your children to do the same.

No need for I already know it isn't, but I have 10 fingers right here to push the exact button.

Again, the root concerns here are "More Options" & "More Channels". Kids need more gateways for Learning, not just books, school, parents, or computers. Here's a journal from the University of Princeton Research Publication: http://www.princeton.edu/futureofchi...s/18_01_03.pdf
And a thousand more research journals reinforcing the notion that Governments should enact laws to supplement or transform TV's from entertainment boxes into one of the earliest mediums of learning a child can access.
