Thumbs up The Official D-I-Y Thread - Do It Yourself Projects Showcase here

This is an offshoot of the Official Power Tools and Hand Tools thread, tapok ta diri.

To separate the discussion from that of the tools, this is where we showcase and talk about the projects we create, design, and make with our tools. We do not just collect tools, we use them. That is the ultimate purpose in having them... spending resources and time to learn how to use them and enjoy the hobby more... tools pa more!

This thread hopes to cover all projects in Metal works, Wood working, art works (sculpture, paint jobs, etc), mix and combination of them all, ug uban pa nga gigamitan sa atong mga power tools, hand tools, jigs, improvised tools, etcetera.

Be creative guys.... and present your projects here, to inspire others, to encourage others, or even to simply promote the wholesome hobby we all love.

All is fair in love and war, including tools and do-it-yourself creations. This thread is for all... ato ni bai.

I wanted to make this SOFA from Piet Hein Eek

    and this what happened instead...

Palo China wood from scrap and 1/2 marine plywood for flooring...again cannot afford to buy the 3/4 marine plywood for the body itself...

From the original design it seems to cost 2 sheets so I used Palo china nalang...and for the foam...hehehe...in this case I used a 4 inch class A dewfoam and bought the fabric for the covers in chester around 450/mtr... the foam itself cost a lot so kani nalang for now...

pasensya boss... I never meant to compete with your thread. But I find it very limiting. I created the FULL DIY thread as a logical consequence to the TOOLS thread. We do not limit ourselves to Woodworking. Anything goes with how we use the tools we collect, and discuss at the TOOLS thread. These two threads are the two faces of a coin.

Consider the TOOLS thread as the computer, and the DIY thread, the software where we get productive.

It is like uber or grab taxi... compared to the ubiquitous ride that is already existing...

see that DIY Acrylic Carpenter's Square by @blotot? Shall we put it in Acrylic Projects thread? Surely, it won't fit as a woodworking project.

ato ni tanan diri bai... basta DIY... ma wood, plastic, kawayan, metal, sheet iron, cardboard, jewelry and beads, ug uban ta...
