In the US, cable companies like Comcast and TimeWarner offer low-income families broadband subscriptions for $10 per month as part of a partnership with the Federal Communications Commission. So the end result ---> Poor children get access to quality shows and educational TV programs.

This is not happening here in RP. The NTC is too busy "pole-dancing" for Cable giants like Sky or Dream. They help the rich corporates, but not the masses.

Well at that age they are no toddlers anymore, I think none would follow if a homo would show his wares in public and they are just acting being laughable for fun, why so serious, life's too short, if one don't like it as it is expected for it will not suit towards everyone, then do not watch and go on with what you prefer, watching lions chasing buffaloes perhaps.

Laughable, entertaining and fun. Which is why people are hooked to Toni Gonzaga's wedding while the Chinese are building military bases, missile launchers and weapon systems 500 miles west of Manila. Good luck with that.

Most of the population don't even know where the Spratly's are located, some even think it's right beside California.

Trust me Bro... Our government don't want to do that . If the populace gain higher intelligence, their power and milking cow will be lost.

You could not always give 100% on something, there are so many things to attend to with their own daily lives. Of course everyone is concerned, with jobs, studies, so on and so forth, I think it's quite logical to give them 1-2 hours of relaxation. Some do like PBB some don't and we could not do anything about that. The young ones have their own means quite different with the older ones. Let me ask do you have entertainment there in the states, then if so, then what's the purpose, is that for political or is it for human needs.

The real concern here is not about the people's daily activities and their preferences. It's the number of options people are left with.

In the US and other foreign countries, even third world countries like Mexico, poor families have access to 12-500 channels, because cable is cheap. Monopolies from Media Corporations are restricted by the Government.

Here, we get 2-5 channels. And the two media giants are like Mob bosses. They control everything from politicians to vote, local films to be released down to the lifestyle Filipino kids will copy. That's the difference.
