hi guys, found an abandoned kitten today estimated around 3-4weeks old. can you give me some tips on how to take care of it? what supplies should i be prepared and where can i buy them?

Hi Dom!

What a kind deed indeed. First off, congratulations & I see that you are keeping her warm, which is vital for kittens this young. Your next step might be to feed it, which I presume you have done already.
When we rescued our kittens several years ago, one of the 1st things we did after ensuring it was warm & fed is that we immediately brought it to the vet (in our case Animal Kingdom Tel.# 232 8002), who could give us more information, could have it checked for ticks, infections etc. Our vet also gave us professional advise on how to proceed with them at their specific age. They got shots and sort of an animal passport, where their schedules for immunization were indicated. You might have your kitten also checked, sometimes ticks crawl into their ears and they need to be taken out with care. Ask when it's safe to have it washed and don't use scented shampoo or harmful chemicals to bathe it. Are you going to keep it? Then you might want to invest early in a litter box, food containers & kitten food, a scratching post & cushion. To keep your wits and your home tidy, it's good to train them as early as possible to effectively use the litter box & scratching post. Your family & furniture will all be happy about that as well.

Having a kitten in your life makes your home so much more pleasant and you can look forward to many hours of joy with a healthy & happy little kitten! ^_^
