This government needs to cut the old crappy belief and move to the next phase. Cannabis needs to be legalized. Primetime shows in ABS CBN or GMA causes more damage to children's brains compared to Marijuana. There are more people killed by butterflies than smoking weed. Which in fact ,there are zero casualities with MJ.

The congress needs to amend this stupid law.

yes, and just imagine healthcare savings of the people. its not panacea but its a boon nonetheless. tax it if government must just make it legal to possess and use it.

Marijuana smoke contains 50% to 70% more cancer-causing substances than tobacco smoke. One major research study reported that a single cannabis joint could cause as much damage to the lungs as up to five regular cigarettes smoked one after another. Long-time joint smokers often suffer from bronchitis, an inflammation of the respiratory tract.

    What are marijuana

(see “Is marijuana a gateway drug?”). Imaging studies in human adolescents show that regular marijuana users display impaired neural connectivity in specific brain regions involved in a broad range of executive functions like memory, learning, and impulse control compared to non-users.25

dr sanjay gupta of cnn investogated that issue. non pot users who will use pot for the first time may lose coordination in driving...but chronic users of pot dont lose coordination no matter how much they use pot. he sat beside a chronic pot user in a car, and he found it amazing that this pot user is driving normally.

oh jeez man... is that what it was? kamo dapat ayaw pangamong, kung di mu mutoo ayaw mu gamit. legal man yosi pero d man ko yosi. legalize pot, ug ayaw lng sad ka gamit. anyway, its safer having it in open market where pollitants can be scrutinized as compared to black markets. regardless of it being legal or not, there will always be pot as pointed out by a retired police captain, why not legalize it instead.

The immediate effects of taking marijuana include rapid heart beat, disorientation, lack of physical coordination, often followed by depression or sleepiness. Some users suffer panic attacks or anxiety."

I could say controlled but can be used for beneficial purposes and not totally tolerated to be used casually by our common Juan. It's quite more risky to let Juan use it more often so that he could recuperate with the bad effects, maybe he will never reach that stage, mangled vehicles and dismembered body parts is all I could think of.

This belief is another unsupported conflation. Although it does make a person a bit drowsy, THC in Cannabis doesn't hinder any activity in the brain's Cerebellum area, so phychomotor effects are null. Accidents are mostly alcohol related, and there are no written, observable proof that a person was dead because of steering the wheel while being high.

As more states are poised to legalize medicinal marijuana, it's looking like dope is playing a larger role as a cause of fatal traffic accidents.

Columbia University researchers performing a toxicology examination of nearly 24,000 driving fatalities concluded that marijuana contributed to 12% of traffic deaths in 2010, tripled from a decade earlier.

NHTSA studies have found drugged driving to be particularly prevalent among younger motorists. One in eight high school seniors responding to a 2010 survey admitted to driving after smoking marijuana. Nearly a quarter of drivers killed in drug-related car crashes were younger than 25. Likewise, nearly half of fatally injured drivers who tested positive for marijuana were younger than 25.

A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study found that 4% of drivers were high during the day and more than 6% at night, and that nighttime figure more than doubled on weekends.

are you categorically saying, that due to something's legality makes people consume it or not? there are short term and long term effects of pot and depends on the concentration mix of thc and cbd which can be regulated if it is legal. long term use of pot removes all negative effects, that is a scientific fact of 20 years following different groups of people using pot. when you start going to the gym, you feel tired, aching, and low energy but as you progress, you will feel the opposite.
