Whinning noise is usually is a bearing problem or an unlubricated rotating metal part problem. Replacing a whole pulley does not make sense since one can simply replace a bearing on that pulley once verified to be the source of the unwanted sound. One can use one end of a hose near to the suspected part and the other end to his ear to aid isolate other sounds and get focus on which part is producing the whinning sound when the engine is running.

Boss @vernie - I just solved the problem yesterday. Well, hopefully for a long time. I just bought another belt. This time it's the right part # replacement. Voila! The whining and the grinding noise are gone. The first belt replacement by Roadstar wasn't the right part #... according to my research, its diameter is slightly bigger. If only the right replacement belt was installed, maybe it doesn't go as far as replacing the idler and auto tensioner. That's just a "maybe" because I no longer plan of installing the old idler and tensioner back together with the right belt just to check. That's just too much labor already. hehehehe

Generally, okay ra man ang Roadstar. Bisan sa nahitabo sa ako, nibalik ra gihapon ko didto lately. Nindot and hapsay man gud ilang shop and naa pod sila lifters. They just need to raise their standards and lower their prices (parts). hehehe. Sa labor cost pare-pareha ra man sila sa uban shops. Ang kulang sa atong mga shops diri gud ky ang proper diagnosis and care sa imong car. Kasagaran trial and error or tag-an2x which could end up very costly sa part sa customers. I expect big auto repair shops diri sa ato to have those specialty tools too and train their mechanics how to use them. Like sa Roadstar, naa man daw sila stethoscope and sa akong case pwede man unta siguro to magamit para ma-determine asa nga pulley ang naka cause ug saba.
