im here! all i can say is that las vegas judges kay unfair og pwd ra mapalit..
Holding a 8 world division title and a world record to break, a billionaire, politician, recognized as one of the world famous athlete, etc..etc.... then a sore loser?? OMG!! his I.Q. has already fallen.
sore loser? well, let's recap what happened:
the injury happened somewhere between 2-3 weeks before the fight on a sparring session..
they consulted a doctor and the doctor said, they can either have surgery and postpone the fight for more or less a year...
or they can take medicines (3 of them regularly) and one anti-inflammatory shot on fight night since the fight is too close..
they consulted USADA if the medicines were legal and USADA approved..
since they informed USADA, they thought the commission was informed as well because they are "supposed to be connected in some way"..
with the 3 medicines, manny's injury became better each day.. in fact, he said it was not there on fight night and on the early rounds.. he "thought he was fine"..
on fight night, koncz misread (daw??) the question if Manny has injury and ticked the wrong box..
in koncz defense, he said, they were not trying to hide anything because he listed all the medicines manny took for the injury as well.. he would have not disclosed all the medicines if they were trying to hide the injury.. it was as he say "clerical error" and he said he'll take full responsibility..
so manny was not given the anti inflammatory shot by the commision because they "ticked the wrong box" (really) but as per max kellerman, "manned up" and proceed to fight...
manny did well but you can say his right hand wasn't effective.. he landed 19 right hands for the whole fight.. that tells you a lot..
he said he mostly use it to set up his left hand.. he also said Floyd knew everything with the way he kept pulling his right arm during "hugs"..
my opinion after the fight watching live was that it was a very close fight that can go either way.. i was shocked by the scorecards but you know, as manny said, it's part of the game..
after the fight, manny said he thought he won because Floyd didn't do nothing.. the fight was basically composed of 4 major shots..
1 big right hand from Floyd and 3 big lefts from Manny.. that's why both came out unscathed... but manny was the aggressor throughout the fight..
and for professional boxing, that gives a lot of weight.. that's why professional boxers put more emphasis on aggression.. and it should be..

at the post fight, arum discloses his thoughts on MGM grand.. you know that arum and mgm don't have a good relationship and it showed that night..
he then disclosed manny's injury.. then manny was asked about the injury.. should manny have lied and tell arum was lying? he can't because it was on the spot.. arum already disclosed it..
personally, i don't see anything wrong with disclosing it win or lose.. wa lang siguro nila napagawas ilang mga injuries before mainly because they were not asked and not a major injury as this one.. even floyd mentioned that his shoulder injury was the cause that most people thought he lost the first fight to Castillo.. he took a surgery, one year later beat Castillo convincingly..
that said, manny is (or as for you, was) a hero (at least perceived to be)..
there's a reason he was called "pambansang kamao"..
then because of the "mind conditioning" of boxing media (mostly americans),
he was perceived differently in a negative way..
sad..
i think most of the hatred towards manny (from fellow pinoys) was stemmed by him entering politics and basketball.. but that should have been another topic..
i may have missed something but this has been a long one.. lolz..
