    its not so much as loving their country... the swiss simply love their freedom that they distrust central government in many aspects of their lives... they are not united as one culture, and no common swiss language. german, french, and italian are the major languages ang culture but they are different from the Germans, French, and Italians who rely so much on central government... the average swiss has a basic understanding of economics, so they are not easily swayed by the noble intentions of their leaders, they have a unique ability to think beyond stage 1.... filipinos, on the other hand, are devoid of simple economic concepts, thats why we are easily swayed by catchy rhetoric and ultimately surrender to government all the solutions to all our problems... government is god on earth, if the majority prayed enough, it will be granted.
