I've stopped buying Gigabyte and switched to Asus mobo. Gigabyte quality have gone down for sometime. They used to be the best of mobo....too sad.

One factor pud na ang supply-demand sa AMD to other regions. People with good IQ when comes to PC kay mangita ug alternative samot na when it comes to budget and other factors. Daghan unta gyud nahan mag AMD kaso lang wala pirmi hahahaha.

Pero naa naman sad reports bro nga ang AMD kay planning to release a 16 core Zen APU hahahahaha pero naay quote didto nga they are planning to release APU pud sa High Performance Computing which is server2x hahaha next year daw pero imbaha naman pud 16 core nga APU with Radeon 400 series uy. Basin para tos server hahahahaha

Maybe we will see guro upgrade sa Kaveri ug Carizzo nga 8 core APU with Radeon 400 series.

So naka set ana kong mind to build a mini box gaming PC with the new AMD APU nig 2016 hahahaha for sure maka daog na gyud na ug 1080p games with max settings.

Kay this current rig nako kay multi purpose mani hahaha pag edit ug games2x hahahaha nya soon mag kat.on2x kog CAD pud so gamit kaayo ni hahaha
Dugay2X pa ang DDR4 sa AMD....wala pa gyud balita although not much difference on performance aside from pwr/volt

Last naku mobo (Gigabyte) didn't last long probably due to being stressed from cpu and RAM being OC'd too much. Karun nag hinay2x na ko ug OC'd. Gamay raman ang ma gain naku. Ang importante number of threads and size of Cache......

Not so sure why 'unstable' diri sa FSB, basin ang BE wasn't meant to be FSB adjusted. Wala man kuy problema sa 'locked' cpu mag adjust sa FSB. Kini ra gyud BE ang 'unstable'.

Post ninyo ang cpu type, multiplier used, and Voltage....

mas better ang mobo w/ more VRMs if less VRMs ra sya, limited and OC'ing capability... usual VRMs on AM3+ gaming mobos(analog & digital) kay 8+2... more than this, medyo mahal na ug price... akoa ning gi compare sa akoang Fatality Z77 Pro nko... 16+8 ang VRM nya (analog & digital)...

I tested VRM and they were good....I never use Asrock even though there prices lower compared to other brands.....16+8 isn't really true 16. They are using 'doubler'. If you want, remove heatsink and count mosfets.

^ I haven't got a chance in opening the heatsinks... maybe, some other time during PM... by the way, just for a quick comparison on both Fatality... 990FX Pro and Z77 Pro... picture lang usa... hehehe... gamit ni sila'g Digital PWM Design, pwede ra ma mani-ubra nila... Makita nato sa actual components ang number of chokes and caps... but the mosfets are under the heatsinks...

my main reason why I choose Asrock over the other brands mainly the price... for me, offerings from this company is the bang for the buck in terms of entry level, mid level and enthusiast level gaming/OC'ing mobo... even the Fatality series that is considered their gaming mobo line can perform quite a high level of OC'ing. I myself had attained a 4.8 GHz stable on the i5-2550K w/ 4 x 4 GB mem modules. as others said, getting a 5 GHz is attainable on a single or dual mem modules. I might try it once I can spare some time... utingkay2x napud ang tigs ani... hehehe... but I do believe, until 4.8 GHz stable ra ni sya ba... kun gusto ta'g 5 GHz OC, katong OC'ing mobo line atoang paliton... pero, snubban to nako kay mahal... gasto napud ta... hahahaha...

    990FX Professional...

    Z77 Professional...

pahabol, katong nag plan ko'g AMD FX (9590)... last month lang, ang Fatality 970 Performance, 990FX Professional, 990FX Extreme9 & Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 ang mobo choices nko kay up to 220 W CPU support ni sila. Asus ROG Rampage Crosshair V Formula Z is out of the equation kay mahal. for me, not worth the money for playing2x/kuri2x lang... gi drop nko sa list ang 990FX Killer kay until 140 W CPU ra ang ma supportahan nya... pero, wla ko mo dayon kay sayang ang gasto... sayangan ko mo baligya aning current mobo & CPU on the gaming rig... pwerte pa ra ba'ng lami-a ani nya... maypa I-invest ang allocated amount palit stocks... hehehe... smile lagi ko dako pag human... then trading dayon para ma enjoy ang actual profit then re-invest napud... ayayayayay...

allow me to share the FX-6300 in action... transcoding a 720p video... purpose nko sa ani na pag share is to show the temp of the FX-6300 @ stock speed on stock AMD HSF in full load & power consumption on the transcoding job... room temp is set at 26 Deg C... sa mo sulti na init ang AMD, that statement is not correct all of the time... hehehe... bugnaw ni ang temp nya w/ respect sa % load sa CPU. relative pud ni's work load nila... had shown you the evidence... @ full load, wla maka abot ug 60 Deg C (57 Deg C ra ang max) ang CPU temp and again, it's only cooled by AMD's HSF (CPU combo cooler... bati kaayo ni'g stock cooler ang FX-6300. all Al lang... ehehehehe... mas nice ang gamit na stock HSF 8 core FX kay w/ Cu base plate & Cu pipe sya)... it's quite impressive... nice ni gamitan ug thermocouple para "true reading" gyud atoang makuha... hhhmmm... ngita ta diri beh... pang lingaw2x lang ug monitor sa actual CPU temps on all rigs...

and here are the images of the rig... huot ni sya kay m-ATX (ordinary chassis)... sa mga sensitive kaayo'g airflow, dili gyud ni maka pasar sa inyohang standards but, sa akoang experience nya (on the FX-6300 itself), i'm really impressed on the actual temp @ full load... the rig's exhaust fans: 1 x 80 mm @ 2,200 rpm (rear) and 1 x 120 mm @ 1,200 rpm (front)...

and here are the images on the measured ampere and power drain from the wall...

    @ idle... Win 7 desktop...

@ full load... during the transcoding...

for a baseline... here's the temp of my i5-3570 transcoding the same video... but, the rig used an aftermarket cooler in a 3 fan configuration... no contest gyud w/ respect to the physical air cooler comparison... and its not an apple-to-apple comparison... pero, sa temp difference nila, para sa akoa, nice lang gihapon ang gi pakita sa FX-6300 on its temp @ full load in transcoding on its stock HSF... lami ni gamitan ug the same cooler dah para maka apple-to-apple comparison... for sharing purposes lang ba... time lang gyud wala nko diri... tsk tsk tsk...

mao diay ni ang air cooler na gamit nko sa i5... as I've said, no contest gyud... it's a Deep Cool Neptwin V2 w/ 3 x 120 mm 2,000 rpm Coolermaster SickleFlow fans... im not comparing the cooling systems hap... ang actual temp lang gyud sa FX-6300 ang focus-san nato as I've posted...
