I had just dropped my plans for AMD based HTPC bro... mas maka barato man ko's intel platform diri on both mobo and CPU. FM1 unta to kay barato ang CPU kaso, wala man ko'y nakit-an na FM1 mini-ITX mobo... tsk tsk tsk... LGA 1155 lang akoang I-go for our HTPC upgrade sa balay ug sa bro ni kumander... strictly, HTPC and no gaming man sila so, intel's iGPU is more than enough sa application...

ganiha man gud, sa akoang pag hunting ug mobo, naka spank ko'g barato na MSI... all the way lang usa ni karon... then sa akoang parents house, kaning Athlon II X 250 ang akoang I-hatag nila for HTPC... m-ATX form factor lang ni na rig...

kun naa pa lang AM3+ mobo on mini-ITX form factor na mo support ug FX CPUs @ 95 W lang (until AM3 ra akoang nakit-an diri na mini-ITX... Asus M4A88T-I Deluxe), bisan mahal2x ug price, kani unta akoang I-DIY for our HTPC upgrade w/ a FX-4300... pero, wla gyud pud ko maka kita diri man gud...

no probs bro... bali, sa Cebu na nko i-ilis ang mobo... ang mini-ITX mobo na akoang gipalit kay akoang gipost gahapon sa Newly acquired items discussion thread... akoa nang gi show ang HTPC before did2's "Show us your Rig" thread last year man siguro or hapit na pud mag 2 yrs... hehehe... Jonsbo V2 ang chassis sa HTPC as shown below. this is my 2nd V2. the 1st Jonsbo V2 was used on my daughter's rig... karon, gihatag nko's akoang newphew ang 1st V1 rig then ang akoang Jonsbo V1 ang akoang hatag sa akoang daugher... actually, mao ni ang rig ai... pero, sulod ana nya kay ang Atom D2500HN mobo pa... how i wish lang gyud to have a mini-ITX that's FX based... this is not really a need for me... but, its a "nice to have"... and for our HTPC upgrade, ang nice to have ang akoang i-execute kun naa pa unta'y FX compatible mini-ITX AM3+ mobo... hehehe... 2nd option on the "nice to have" was the FM1 mini-ITX platform... para maka barato. kaso, wla man pud mobo na available na diri... tsk tsk tsk... maong, back to Intel na lang ko for the HTPC upgrade...

One factor pud na ang supply-demand sa AMD to other regions. People with good IQ when comes to PC kay mangita ug alternative samot na when it comes to budget and other factors. Daghan unta gyud nahan mag AMD kaso lang wala pirmi hahahaha.

Pero naa naman sad reports bro nga ang AMD kay planning to release a 16 core Zen APU hahahahaha pero naay quote didto nga they are planning to release APU pud sa High Performance Computing which is server2x hahaha next year daw pero imbaha naman pud 16 core nga APU with Radeon 400 series uy. Basin para tos server hahahahaha

Maybe we will see guro upgrade sa Kaveri ug Carizzo nga 8 core APU with Radeon 400 series.

Huwat2x ra kos development sa ilang mga offerings.

Actually mu benefit ang DX12 sa mga AMD products baya. So naka set ana kong mind to build a mini box gaming PC with the new AMD APU nig 2016 hahahaha for sure maka daog na gyud na ug 1080p games with max settings.

Kay this current rig nako kay multi purpose mani hahaha pag edit ug games2x hahahaha nya soon mag kat.on2x kog CAD pud so gamit kaayo ni hahaha

^ yeah, nice kaayo ang Jonsbo V2 for a HTPC... naa ni sya sa sala... sa A/V rack then naka connect sa smart LED TV ug sa LG 5.1 HT sound system... swak gyud kaayo sa iyahang gamit... gamit nya kay watch ug movies via VLC, watching movies on Youtube, listening to online radio and Skype (video con) labi na naa'y activity sa balay. para pud, maka apil ko nila... mag laway sa ilhang gi chikakoy... ehehehe... akoang I-upgrade ang platform kay para maka gamit ko'g XBMC... dili pwede ang iGPU sa atom D2500 sa XBMC man gud... mas ganahan ko na gamit ta'g PC compare sa built-in connectivity sa smart TV ang gamiton. limited access ra man gud. kun PC gamiton, the connectivity is endless... charing...

mao ni ang control system nya ai... sosyal kaayo... bwahahaha...

anyhow, medyo, nag likay ang AMD kay nag overlap naman ang product nila... naa naman ang APUs man gud. mas ganahan sila kani ang gamiton for HTPC kay w/ iGPU naman ni... for the upcoming AMD CPUs, check lang kun ok ba ni sila... for now, gamay ra kaayo ang performance leap even from today's CPU leader, Intel, from their Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge then now to Haswell... for sure, kaning current CPUs nato ma intel or AMD pa ni, kumbati ra ni sila next year gihapon... gawas kun mag padagan ta'g benchmark... hehehe... the Diminishing effect is on the works... sa mag apas2x ug technology, aw, good for them kay they have the cash to burn, personally, ako, humana ko sa ani na urge... more than 2 decades naman lagi ko sa ani na passion... 22+ yrs and counting to be exact... sakit hawak sa tigs hinoon dah... ahahahahaha... hasta bulsa, sakit2x gyud... ehehehhe...

basta, it's nice na ning focus ang AMD sa APU para naa'y choices kitang mga consumers... swak ni sa masses man gud... ug ang upcoming enthusiast level offering nila, the CPU... unsa naman kaha pud ang tawag ani nila sa series... basin, i-drop ang FX then ilisan ug lain... I'm pretty sure, the next generation AMD APUs and CPUs would be a "Nice to Have" once they'll enter this market segment again... so, let's just sit tight, sip a little wine then wait and see...

Gamaya diay sa case uy, hehehe padala ko nimo ana puhon2x b hahahaha.

Kita ko ana nga controller bro pero wala ko kita ana sa Cebu. Mao na kasagaran gamit nila hasta katong Logitech nga equivalent ana.

Bug.at diay ang XBMC? Murag same2x ras Plex bug.at2x siya.

HAHAHAHAHA sa mga datu lang nag bisyuha boss. Ako kay naa koy daghan gi investan na. Dili ta palabi aning PC nga bisyo. Upgrade lang gyud ta if needed.

Good luck to AMD, nag focus gyud sila and innovate para mukumbate sila sa Intel balik. Ilang CPU engineer sa Athlon sauna nga ni balhin ug Apple (nag buhat sa iphone chips) gikuha nila balik for the Zen CPUs. So nay chance nindot gyud ni. Pero when this comes out, for sure nihit ang stocks here in Cebu. HUHUHUHUHUHU

Mahala sa gigabyte mobo oi grabe, mas imba manig gasto cguro kaysa sa intel rig or same2 lng (dli na abi kay AMD barato like old days). ehehe that mobo should provide a 3-5years warranty for that price.
