It's true, we depended heavily on the US of A. America's currency, economic and military might. But this same scenario also resonates to Japan, South Korea, Germany, and many other top tier nations with massive economies which still cannot stand without the US Military defense, USD currency and US markets.

    God Bless America.

Mo site lang ko lain example: ngano man napatay c abu sabaya? I guess most of us saw that docu film in TV. So, ang ending we can't stand on our own not relying help from the US. Not to mention mga top brass sa AFP mostly are corrupt.

Sa status nato karon dili jud, china is a Super Power ...

The answer of your Question is because our politician are greed ... dili ta Nationalistic almost all filipinos are self centered .,..

Why is Taiwan ang Japan can defend themselves from China ... tungod kay mga Nationalistic sila nga tawo they are not Greed ug ang kaauhan ra sa ilahang mga tawo ang ilaha gi tagad ug maau, dili ilaha kaugalingon interest .. mao na kaya kaau nila e defend ilaha territory kay they have equivalent or more sophisticated weapon than China ...

Hopefully in the near future we be like Taiwan or Japan ...

Every country in the world rely on U.S. of A even China .... without the USA, china will not become Super Power .. almost all technology from China come from the west ... kaya kaau sa USA gubaon ang China without firing a missile, simple ra kaau by just widrawing all the US and Other Western Multinational Companies.

Ug mapinarihas diay tas China ? kaya kaau na nato by doing what the Chinese did, they started by opening their economy allowing 100% foreign corporation a long time ago .. and it bare fruits ..

Sa karon only the Philippines remain a Close Type Economy Exclusively for the Oligarch ... mao na ang Legacy sa Cory Constitution ...

Unsaon man nato pagka afford palit ug Sophisticated Weapon if only the Politician ang Oligarch are rich ... kanang Arms e Provide sa Amerkano nato is not for Free except anang mga donation nila nga pang patrol ra ...

No man is an island.. same goes for every country. Even the N. Korea apparently needs someone, despite being a loner country they depend on some few "ally". Anyway the Philippines is no different, even if we say (for the sake of this) that we are 1st world country we still need our allies, there is a pact between nations and that for one is why Japan, South Korea, Germany, and many other top tier nations are from time to time call for help to the USA. One thing for sure, USA is somewhat a big brother to its allied countries with an agenda on its own.

Of course we can stand and fight our own rebels, but winning? I don't think so in the long run. Much more sa issue sa China on spratly islands. Obviously we are lacking (big time) on Military power and to say we are decades behind with China that's why we always welcome every helping hand. But if you are asking on how to defend our country to China if ever comes to worse? I'd say we defend our land to the best we can with whatever we have. This is our way, we improvise and persevere no matter what..

@yhokz101 .. even the US of A needs the world ... american economy is an open economy unlike sa pilipinas nga close type ...

Kuarta rajud ang solution anang Defense kay puerting dakoa na nga budget ...

Gi dula2xan lang tas China anang Spratleys ... if the american is with us then why not tell them to backout sa ilahang gipangbuhat structure diha nga atoa unta ...

Dili na puede buhaton sa US of A kay ang China is ilahang Partner in Business dako kaau ug Investment si US of A sa China ...
