Default AMD Radeon R9 390X to be released in 'four to six weeks'

AMD must be so close to unveiling its next-generation range of GPUs, but the latest information on the Radeon R9 390X has it rocking an all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler made by Cooler Master.

utting to the chase, AMD will reportedly ship its reference Radeon R9 390X with an AIO cooler but AIB partners like SAPPHIRE, XFX and so forth will ship their own coolers. WCCFTech is now reporting that the new Radeon 300 series, and more specifically the flagship Radeon R9 390X will launch in "four to six weeks", which should see it released in late March, or early April.

AMD has said that it's working on something "crazy" for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2015, which kicks off in early March. This new information could be true, with AMD showing off its new GPU at GDC 2015, which is incredibly exciting.

We've previously reported that AMD would release its Radeon R9 390X with an AIO cooler from Asetek, just like it did with the Radeon R9 295X2, but this new information has Cooler Master providing the AIO cooler. Asetek had a recent order from an "undisclosed OEM" for a desktop video card that would ship in the first half of 2015, with the end product resulting in $2 million to $4 million in revenue for Asetek.

This would result in around 50,000 to 100,000 units, where soon after this, the information leaked on Asetek providing the AIO cooler for AMD. After a couple of months passed, we saw AMD re-release its FX-9590 processor with a Cooler Master liquid cooling unit, which replaced the previous unit that was made by Asetek. Cooler Master reportedly licensed the design of the cooler from Asetek, which should be a big hint at what is going on here.

mayta, on this generation, AMD would address the "Performance to Power Consumption" ratio so that they can rub elbows to elbows with the current Maxwell offerings from the Green... then kita'ng mga consumers, naa na ta'y lain ma pili-an... go go go...

ah, ok ra na bro oi... dili na mo matter in actual... i mean, it will not cost us an arm or a leg... ehehehehe... in reality, kun dili ta mag game, matulog mana ang isa ka AMD GPU... nice kaayo ang Zero Core Technology nila... saludo kaayo ko ani... dili man pud more than 8 hrs ta mag sige'g game. kaning grabeh kaayo mag duwa, mao ni ang maka dako'g kuryente kay running @ full load mang ang duha ka GPU plus, kun naka OC pa ni sila ug ang CPU then mem modules (gamay ra ni), naa gyud OC'ing overhead power consumption...

bisan kana imohang isa ka 290x, check gamit power meter kun mag games ka, surf the net, working on productivity apps & downloading for a game update, dba, dako kaayo difference...

    to add..

ganahan kaayo ko mag tan-aw sa crossfirex config sa 290 or 290x kay wala'y crossfire bridge connector... clean and stealthy-look kaayo...

about aning R9 390x, inig release ani diri, mag dive down napud ang prices sa R9 295 X2... hhhaaayyyy... manampiling napud ta's ibog2x ani... ehehehehe... good kaayo ni's mag multi-4K resolution monitors gyud...

karon diri, for a bnew 295 X2, maka palit ta'g 4,800 rmb (roughly, 33,600 php equivalent)... the price is still "only" for a handful few but, kun i-compare nato's equivalent offering from Nvidia, then, no-brainer gyud... the 295 X2 would be the top choice @ this price tag as well as on its gaming performance. on its power consumption ratio, dili ni mo matter for an "enthusiast" level configuration... kapalit man gani sa ani na GPU so, maka bayad gyud sa kuryente... hehehe... the same ra ni ani na panulti-on... maka palit man gani'g Benz, BMW, Audi, and the likes (i'll not mention the top sports car brands)... maka bayad gyud ang tag-iya kun mag pa maintenance na ang auto... hehehe... maintenance cost (single entry sa casa) ani nila, pwerteng dakoa baya... mura ta'g ning palit ug "2 x R9 295 X2"...

peeps, example ra ni akoa ha... ang point nko kay maka palit sa item/product, so, maka afford ra's maintenance cost...
