To put things into perspective. I can't recall the exact date but there was a time when Philippines defaulted on its debt. That I would say there was no growth.

Sorry bro, but I have to quote you on this. The things we are buying now are subject to inflation. So when they say sa una mas daghan mapalit ang piso. They obviously are talking about the inflated prices on the goods.

Although I still think that the wages we have now are not commensurate to the amount of work each individual is doing. That could again be attributed to how much this conglomerates is giving to its workforce.

The post was for current events, not for political reasons. Although you can link it to other political topics posted and discuss it from there.

I believe the last time it didn't grow was 1998. 1983 was when the Philippines defaulted. Akong point is as long as that GDP growth (%) is not in the negative or zero, theoretically, there's growth. 1983, we know why that happened. And 1998 was because of Asia's economic collapse, and the country in a period of instability. A country can have no growth even if they are not in a debt crisis.

It really was a miracle in 2008/09, when the global economy collapsed and virtually all the other ASEAN countries' GDP growth contracted into the negatives. And Philippines, despite being the sick man of Asia, managed to keep growth, albeit at a crawl (something like 1% growth). And you know what GMA got for her effort? A media campaign of mudslinging. I don't think she gets enough credit for that.

Hahaha youre comparing the Philippines to Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar? Jesus H. Christ. Lord help me. One of the original 5 sa ASEAN nakig compete sa mga bottom-feeders. XD... And bai, Idk if you've been living under a rock but Vietnam is growing in leaps and bounds and is poised to enevitably surpass the Philippines. It's the cold reality, were talking about Vietnam ha, the country that underwent a big proxy Civil war. The same Vietnam that from a dysfunctional corrupt state, became a commie state to what it is today. Oh my lord, you made me spill my beer when you said that. Hahaha that was a good one.
