have you tried shooting at a much higher apature and a much longer exposure. you might get nice results sad
BTW, ill have to ask you to reduce the size of the image you uploaded.

Yup daghan kaayo esp. at night. Problema lang, i'm still getting used pa to the 20D kay i've been using the A-1 for so long. Lahi man gud ang approach to the mechanics of taking the photo cuz of the AF and the other differences from film SLR. maayo lang kay wala nay film/developing cost, so mas dali ang learning curve basta pirmi lang mag shoot.

I couldn't try upping the apperture cuz wala ko nagdala ug tripod kay naguba. Actually, handheld ra to when I took the shot using a 28-105 3.5/5.6, and that's why I had to bracket it.

10D no flash 12-24 sigma EX set to 12mm about 1.5sec@F8 bump up the ISO to 400 to get a slightly brighter than actual since ambiant light was too dim. i use the widest lens i had because of the 1.6x crop factor to make the place look bigger.

I didnt have a tripod so i did my best to keep it steady by using what was available to simulate a monopad hehe i used the timer feature in the cam to assist me in completing the trick.

following 6 shoots are all taken with canon 10D with 550EX and 70-300 DO IS set to iso 200.

The challenge faced on this event was primarily the smoke machine!
i simply hate it. makes focusing much harder. sharpness, contrast and colour is also affected.

2nd challenge was the low light and changing light senario plus fast moving multiple subjects. Learn to anticipate lang gyud. Situation like this, ma-take advantage gyud ang faster lens. Luck also plays a role hehehe.
