Hi everyone!
I just need your opinions regarding my problem on my child's educational plans. I had reached to the point on an informal complaint to the Insurance Commissions and done several discussions with the Pre-need company's legal atorney over the Isurance Commissioner. But seems ang negawas kami naman hinoon ang gibaliktad..that its our fault. I want to know lang kinsa atong kakuhaan ug idea regarding mga pre-need companies.
This is the scenario:
We had 2 educational plans from this certain pre-need company. For the 1st 2yrs they have not failed to send us statement of accounts on our plans. We paid the plan diligently, we issued post dated checks reqularly. Only on the last quarter before mo end ang contract that was not issued the postdated checks, kay usually the collector will collect PDC's from me. So bascially I am only waiting for their advice to collect the next set of PDC's. And after several months, they called up that our plans need to be reinstated and pay the remaining full oustanding balance kay nilapsed na. By the time, they call us...of course we don't have the money to pay them in full. So, i ask if i can loan from the plan since they had mention that to us before that the plan can be loanable. But then they said, we can loan unless fully paid na ang plan. Our plan is only 4 monthly premium installments mahuman na unta. Tungod lang wala na-issuehan ug check on time, mao to nilaps. So, to reinstate, need to pay in full the remaining 4 months plus the interests. But after a year i think, i called up the preneed company to settle the said outstanding and reinstate but they said we cannot reinstate na kay nilapas na ang two years allowance, the money that we invested is as good as nothing kay the insurance plan had already been cancelled. To think, 4monthly installment nalang jud kulang..then we're done. So naabot mig insurance commissions to complain and ask for possible solutions to our problem. We even ask for a consideration to give us another chance to resinstate. The pre-need company refused to grant our request. So, we ask if can get at least 20-50% of our premium payments, still they regret. Now, my question is pwede diay na nawala na toy kwenta ang among premium payments? We also, didnt received a written cancellation letter of our policies. And we can't claim anything even a singlge centavo. Ang defend sa preneed company, we are in neglect to pay the premiums daw. Which is not true, wala lang jud mi money to pay the remaining premiums in full by the time they ask for payment. And we are not informed na only 2yrs ra diay ang allowance given to reinstate.
Hope to get an advice from anyone. Asa ta pwede maka seek help to get at least the 50% of our premium payments if possible. Thanks!
la na daw ayo ang educational plan rn, dili parehas tong una. kung unsa ang tuition kay ila bayaran og full. karon kay fix amount nlng ila ihatag. is it true?
Insurance commission rajud imo last resort ani. and if di sila ka help, wa nasad tay mabuhat. Although lisud jud kay 2 years na ni lapse imo program. Unsa ni nga pre-need company?
As a financial adviser, ang amo recommended alternative is actually mutual funds, nya paresan ug term life insurance.
nakanindut ani kay just in case magkaproblema ug kwarta ang client, ang ma lapse ra kay ang life insurance, or kwaon niya ang payment sa life insurance from the mutual funds. but di jud ma zero, just like what happened to huneebun above.
"Buy term insurance, invest the difference"(BTID) ang tawag ani.
But if mag google paka or ask directly other well know financial experts local or abroad, BTID jud ang ila irecommend over whole life insurance.
Sa mga well developed nations like US, most will go for BTID.
Karon all insurance required ug paid up capital mao dili nana mayabo or ma-CAP.
Before ka mokuha ug mga plan/policy ask around sa or gamita si goggle.
