THE headless man who was found dumped in a hole in Barangay Biga, Toledo City has been identified through a snake tattoo on his body. The man’s genitals had also been cut.

He was identified by his siblings as Alonie Olasiman, 39, of Barangay Carmelo, Tuburan, said Supt. Ricky Delilis, the town’s police chief.

Olasiman’s common-law wife, Epefania Bajes, 33, went to the police station past 9 a.m.
and said the body could be that of her partner.

She was brought to the funeral parlor to check the body, but started to have doubts after seeing the snake tattoo on the man’s chest.

“She said she was no longer sure because his partner had no tattoo in the chest
before,” Delilis said.

She said she they broke up last month.

Olasiman’s siblings, Ariel and Marites, went to the mortuary in the afternoon and confirmed it was their brother.

In a live report over GMA 7’s Balitang Bisdak, Ariel said he saw the tattoo last Tuesday.

“Mailhan sad siya tungod sa bukol sa iyang tudlo (There’s also lump in his finger),” he said.

Marites said her brother had expressed intentions of getting back with Bajes.

“Pinangga man niya iyang asawa. Plano niya kuhaon balik (He loved his wife. He wanted her back),” she said.

Marites said she later learned that Olasiman received threats from Bajes’ relatives.

“Basta motunob kuno siya sa ilang lugar, mao akong nadungan (I heard they will harm him if he stepped foot in their place),” she said.

Delilis, when interviewed by Sun.Star Cebu, said they will invite Bajes to shed light on the incident.

The police had planned to get the fingerprints of the cadaver and subject it to an autopsy examination in case the man will not be identified.

Olasiman was found by a resident in Sitio Makatol at 7 a.m. last Sunday after he saw traces of blood and noticed foul smell in the area.

Olasiman sustained multiple stab wounds. His stomach was also lacerated that his intestines spilled out.
