simple... blame it to the LTO who "passes" the not-deserving drivers.

does the LTO make those lines? i hope not.

you see, it's not so hard to learn how to drive. it's the fact that simply putting those YELLOW and WHITE lines create a more organized traffic flow, compared to having no LINES at all. hence, it creates confusion among drivers.

IMO, the problem is with the authorities.

you can find undisciplined drivers everywhere and anywhere. have you been to NYC?

the main problem and the major thing to work on is discipline. putting yellow and white lines will not necessarily work (just for a very few) because drivers, motorists, and car owners will not follow them. i'd go for the idea of putting railings in between or something solid just to divide the lanes, syaro naa pay molabang sa pikas.

there was this joke saying that in the philippines, rules and regulations are merely suggestions, not implementations.

DPWH man tingali ang in charge ana mga road signs/lines.
Wala pa sila budget kay nahurot sa decorative lamp posts.
Unya if naa sila budget, gamay pa para kurakoton.
Huwat sila nga modako ang budget para daku ila porsyento.

What lines? You mean those yellow and white lines on the streets actually mean anything? I thought they were only decorations, part of the beautification project....

gamit sd kaha na mga ingon ana nga liness

the thing with lines on the road is that motorists seem to drive in the middle of the lines instead of in between them...for me, defense is the best offense in the Philippine road setting!
