Default Pope Francis: Evolution ‘not inconsistent with the notion of creation’

Pope Francis said the “Big Bang” theory isn’t contrary to creationism — evolution and Bible teachings really do mix.
“Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve,” the pontiff said Monday during a speech to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences at the Vatican, Breitbart reported.

He said that God “created beings and let them develop in accordance with the internal laws that He has given to each on, so that they could arrive at their fulfillment,” Breitbart reported.
In turn, “God gives human beings a different sort of autonomy from that of nature, which is freedom,” the pope said.
He also said that faith and science do in fact intersect and that evolution “does not contradict the divine act of creating, but rather requires it,” the Catholic World News reported.

Human beings nowadays are still evolving

Nothing makes a westerner in China feel more like a fish out of water than the feeling he’s in Lilliput every time he takes the underground. In the UK I’m average height but on the metro in Shanghai I invariably bang my head on the handles hanging down for people to hold onto. The average British man is 12 centimetres taller than his Chinese counterpart. But the day is coming when foreigners will no longer feel like giants. And to adjust, the Chinese Ministry of Railways has changed its ticketing height restrictions.

Starting yesterday, it has raised the height at which children will need to have tickets to travel on the train. The upper limit for children’s free tickets has been raised from 1.1 metres to 1.2 and the upper limit of children’s half-priced tickets has been raised from 1.4 metres to 1.5.

Pope Francis also promotes the use of contraceptive for family planning if the couple wants to. Cool Pope with a common sense for the common people.
