I was there about 5 times and I spent most time in Jogja. But I like to made it as backpacking with new experiences by searching all info of the city which I wanted to go. Jogja is an affordable city and the people there are really wonderful. I liked to rent a motorcycle there and wandering to the city with google map as my friend

But if you are afraid to do it, many travel agents are also available there, offering affordable prices as well. Some of them offering Batik course, it's an interesting one. Do you know Batik? Hope you do
