like i said, at least the scientific method explains more much rationally than the bible. yes! common sense, i don't know why we cannot apply this when reading anything from the bible. which why perhaps the church tells you not to question it because when you think rationally while reading the bible it just doesn't make sense to any of it's claim.

not an atheist, so because of faith we are not allowed to use common sense then? faith is just a convenient excuse for the religious when they cannot explain or give a counter argument.

like i said i do not deny some of the events and people that are depicted in the bible. the events happened, the places are there and people existed BUT the portrayal in the bible of HOW exactly the events occurred is very sketchy and fairy tale like. and like my previous post, a lot of the stories in the bible are borrowed. meaning there have books long before the bible that depicts exactly the same story. So we just have to believe everything in the bible despite the many contradicting accounts from different people? even the story of jesus christ borrowed from the egyptians. go read about horus and isis, you will notice how startlingly similar is their story with jesus despite pre-dating the bible a couple of hundred of years.

a religion that does not allow you to use basic common sense to dissect and try fully understand what they claim is very suspect. the fact that knowledge is shunned upon, as with the story of adam and eve, is a clear indication of an intent to be deceitful.

when you are given hard facts and evidence to support a claim, that is where you use common sense to decide which is believable. again religion will only demand you to not question the divine. you see the difference? apparently knowledge and common sense is not allowed in religion.

evidence is as clear as day. what is your excuse now?

it is just funny how believers will easily dismiss something that is clearly unbelievable like the tooth fairy or boogeyman but will adamantly defend a story that there was a man who changed water to wine, that walked on water, died then after three days rose from the grave. even despite the fact of having no evidence to support the claim. isn't that delusional that one fairy tale can exist while another cannot? this is just people being silly and believing what they want to believe.
