PC to HDTV and Receivier

Hi peeps,

I got some free time yesterday to clean up my desktop. Curiosity kicks in and so i hooked up my PC to my sound system below:

first setup, my PC thru HDMI cable to HDTV but I routed my audio thru optical cable to my receiver. ang sound, for me, is a bit crisp and clear with FLAC music. BF4 sounded lame. this is maybe because my motherboard has some good onboard sound to decode uncompressed audio.

second setup, my PC thru HDMI cable to my receiver and decoded na sa akoang receiving for surround sound. the sound is much louder and bass is more entertaining and BF4 sounded like im in the warzone (which got me a stare sa akong silingan). FLAC music is not that clean unfortunately.

guys, unsa inyo inputs ani? unsa inyo setup? I have Z960 sa akoang table thru optical and nindot gyud hinuon ug output and no complaints about it. however, my WDTV cant seem to be able to play BD ISO properly so basin every now and then ako ni ina-og ako desktop to play my wife's 1080p files.
