Prayer i think is a means in paving the way to achieve/fulfill something you desire. Since God has the power over everything, it is just right to ask Him for guidance and wisdom.

I'm a faithful but just asking..

Can lawyers become lawyers without praying?
Can doctors become doctors without praying?
Can nurses and other professions be acheived without prayers?
Can prayers bring the sun and not rain when prayed for?

We have all the Tools to be what we want to be. God gave us Freedom to do what we want to do and with our tools we can live our lives without prayers or even God.

But that Freedom has its Limitation, and it will make difference Not entirely here on earth but in the next life.
