Here's a quick octane 2 test with the new micro displacement and motionblur

render time 3 min per frame at 50ms with lowend 640gt.



i.draw.fast - do you have a multi gpu setup? I'm thinking about how to DIY something like this. Don't now where to buy the parts in cebu.

fast_shutter dle kau ko familiar sa requirements in rendering, for now ako gamit is A8, 4g ram, 1g vcard nga desktop..

Yes... naa ko multi GPU set-up. gigabyte z77x-up7 ako gamit nga board.

murag kanang naa sa picture nimo kay pang bitcoin setup man na. ang speed sa GPU kay 1x ra guro. you need 8x or 16x para mautilize gyud nimo ang video card nimo.

ang naa nako karon nga set-up kay:

1 x gtx 650 ti for display and
2 x gtx 780 for render

but naa man to multi gpu set-up sa octane forums. dili lang ko sure unsay mobo gamit nila ato... murag set-up boxx brand to daan.

how much ang upgrade sa octane render? wala pako ka update to 2.0 naa pako sa 1.5

Some are using this for gpu rendering.
External PCIe 3.0 Enclosure, External PCI Express, Desktop GPU Enclosure, PCIe Gen3
Too expensive.

Upgrade is 99euro and you get one plugin free. The displacement is a new feature. Good for grass and realistic stone finish.

Disappointed with the GTX 750 Ti. I thought it would give me atleast 20-30% faster render time. At double the price of my 640gt its better to build a low cost, low power, cuda based render pc with 640gt's
For games performance is the same asa 660 ti I think.

Dili pa optimized ang octane render for maxwell architecture. Mas paspas ang gtx 580 kaysa gtx680 in octane render. Comparing to gtx 780, 1.7 times faster gtx 780 over gtx 580 using the same power.

I see. I didn't expect the speed of the 750 ti to be the same as a 640 gt.
